Hmm, I don't really get this "acting aggressively" and "the USS Ross was sighted heading straight for Russian waters after leaving the Romanian port of Costanta on Saturday." Anyone know what a map of the Black Sea looks like? Head straight out to sea from Constanta and you ARE heading for Russia, even though, keeping a straight heading, you'll have to steam 1600km before hitting the Russian coast.

And what exactly does 'acting aggressively' mean? Anyone?

Actually sea borders have are not clear lines, but territories and that is the cause of all the precedents like this. In the times of mutual misunderstanding such things look suspicious.

But what about possible confrontation? We have carriers, it seems russia hasn't.
We have the best naval forces, they have the best silent service.

Well, do we know exactly where in the Black Sea the confrontation took place? Russia has regarded the Black Sea as its domain for some time. You don't have any idea what behaviour by USS Ross they considered aggressive?

Seems there's not nearly enough info to form much of an opinion on.
Killing one person is murder, killing 100,000 is foreign policy
