It would be terrorism if there was a political motive behind the destruction. It's possible there is such a motive, but sounds more like a Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure kind of thing.

californa is too big for its own water supply.

regardless of whether or not it needs to leech off others water to survive, destroying water supplies is no less than terrorist.we cannot claim such as no one knows the motive, but still terrible to destroy a water supply, especially when a state is on water rations and restrictions.

Which is why the United States Patriot Act, and the 'terrorism' statutes that fall out of it, are so potentially dangerous to Americans.

We run the risk of many otherwise criminal or misdemeanor acts being classified as 'terrorist acts', thereby usurping our due process & other constitutional rights.

Have we not learned from the War on Drugs?

This was an act of extra-ordinary destructiveness given California's water situation. Even if it's an act born of stupidity, the perpetrators deserve to have the book thrown at them for this.

Fair points. Which means the people and those they elect have to be vigilant about the way the laws are applied. It doesn't mean the laws have to be abandoned.
