Interesting. The "leftist agenda" is for the cops to be more friendly.

So, the rightist agenda must be for the cops to shoot people in the back, kill suspects in custody, and go through town firing a hundred plus shots at a carload of unarmed blacks.

At least, that would be the logical conclusion, right?

Baltimore was the one who didn't seatbelt the prisoner in and he died, after other prisoner/s in the van with him said he caused himself injury. Then the Mayor told police to back off from the riots because people needed to express their feelings or some such.

Since the police have been made into the enemy, not just by the locals but also the poverty pimps and the govt (including federal), perhaps they should just let it burn.

It will be a reminder of how nice Mogadishu is this time of year.

Ever been to a war zone. Well, more people are killed in the US every day by criminal activity then in all the wars the US are involved in currently. There are pockets of areas in the US that could use some wartime tactics in order to restore civility. This is exactly what swat teams were designed for. And in my opinion, they are not used often enough. They should be routinely deployed to areas with very high crime rates such as Baltimore. They should be patrolling the streets. There mere presence alone should deter a good amount of crime.

It is easy to take such an attitude. I can even say that at times I feel the same way. But even in a Liberal hell hole like Baltimore, there are good people. We can only hope that the ones being murdered were part of the problem and pray for those who are godly people who did not bring this about. Especially since the gun and self-defence laws in that state/city would make them criminals for having the means to defend themselves and for defending themselves.

It should be a wake up call for all Americans, but don't expect the "no more black men in jail even when murdering black children" crowd to see it.

No doubt there are good people, but the politicians and thugs don't care.

Yes, many who are dying are the problem-but they didn't arise spontaneously. They are merely the most visible. Look in the backround during these riots. See them? Yeah thats the support base. Momma's at home, there isn't a dad. The streets raised them.


Hope they like those streets, they are about to see more of them.

Remember this "mother"? People were clapping like seals because they was beating her son for rioting. They miss the point-she's ALREADY failed-she raised someone who thinks its ok to riot, harm innocents, steal, rape, murder, loot.

This is the same type of "mother" who will put on a show of being just FURIOUS, at the next thug funeral, or after a court jury passes a sentence on her son.

You know-only in a society so prosperous, where reality is deferred-could the thought of lawlessness for some flawed notion of justice be entertained-i'd say its an expensive lesson but these are very slow learners.

Its like a toddler, being held in its parents arms who wants to come down-but mom knows the concrete is too hot. The kid starts protesting until mom lets him down-at which point he burns his feet and begs to be picked back up. Right now these people are burning their feet.

Martin O'Malley ( who announced for president today) used "zero tolerance" policing when he was mayor of Baltimore
and has taken a lot of flack for the riots.

The thing is, if there is isn't "zero tolerance", the city tends to become like this -I know this - I lived there 45 years before I
moved out in 2000.

Nobody likes zero tolerance, but without it, the city tends to get open air drug markets, and assaults, and such, that grow out
of a lack of respect for public order.
Those are huge homicide numbers, but Baltimore has actually seen worse..

I think what DV was tring to say was that the Leftist approach of threatening/tying the hands of Police and coddling criminals is the wrong way to go.

And before you start throwing accusations at me, i don't think cops should have the freedom to "do what they want with no punishment". However, i also don't think they should have to worry about the specter of Racebaiting ****stains, Political Correct Hacks and Judicial Jackasses hovering over them like vultures every time they encounter a Black person.

Had to go back and see where I got the "friendly cops" phrase. Seems to have come from the title of the thread.

Now, if cops being friendly is a "leftist" agenda, then what's a "rightist" agenda? Is the idea of cops keeping hands off and being afraid to enforce the law being more "friendly", or perhaps more "leftist", or just what?
