Your example is as irrational as it gets! No one executes any kids and certainly not for selling pot....GET REAL!

There are many other inmates in state and federal prisons that are only there for a short time and for much lesser felonies........often times, those people are raped or murdered by the heinous animals that you bleeding hearts want to save! And many guards are assaulted and murdered by these same people.

So let's change the law, and do away with the red tape and streamline the system. I want to see the Easy Button to a Firing Squad!

You bet Drug Dealers too! They ruin lives and kill people far more than the avg. killer!
Sometimes courts and juries ignore the DNA evidence and use other evidence to convict...such as eye witness testimony, the looooooong rap sheet of the offender, or the cops and or witnesses...just plain Lie!
Look at all the lying sacks of **** in Ferguson.....against the police officer. Had that big ass punk killed that cop, instead of the cop killing him....the POS would have walked!

So, let me repeat this for you..................far fewer cases now and in the future, will have innocent people going to jail. And when it's a slam dunk.....why even bother with DNA! Examples, (1)when a person walks up to a patrol unit and executes the cops in that car in front of witnesses....................we don't need DNA!
(2)There was more than sufficient evidence to convict and execute Tim McVeigh w/o DNA.

The penalty itself is not expensive or unnecessary but we have allowed too much red tape to make into a cluster ****. I am for reforming the penalty.

The "red tape" is what helps us reduce the number of innocent people we execute.

Which is why I say reform and not remove. Do we really need people on DR for 20 years because of pretty much unlimited appeals?

Given the number of people exonerated before (or after) a death sentence was carried out... yes.

    Re: Nebraska Abolishes Death Penalty

This is great news. Too many times you hear of someone being aquitted based on new evidence and actually innocent. This is the ONLY reason needed to get rid of death penalty. Except for public servants and politicians that are found abusing their authority in gross ways with severe detriment to society, as in arranging murder and false incrimination.
Is society was made of coral our world would be floral.

They get life without parole and all the suffering that a prison imposes on them. That is just as much punishment, maybe even more punishment than the death penalty.
Wilders is a piece of gutter trash, a gutless populist who has no morality to speak of.
