Wolff: The only Hillary alternative
There is only one person who can win the Democratic nomination for president if Hillary Clinton craters. And it isn't Elizabeth Warren — most certainly not Elizabeth Warren.

While I don't want to see neither of these two in the White House it does make a case why Bloomberg might be the only one to defeat Hillary for a party nomination.

Democrats don't want Bloomberg???????

There's no reason to think this, either based on currently popular speculative candidates, or on the history of Democratic nominees. For Democrats, "dark horse" candidates do better than establishment candidates who drum up little support. When Democratic voters aren't excited, they don't just shrug and go for the biggest name on the ballot. They simply stay home.

Ex:

Gore and Kerry were establishment and unexciting. Democrats stayed home.

Bill Clinton and Obama -- neither of whom had any real fame before their campaigns -- were exciting, and Democrats voted for them over the establishment candidates. In Obama's case, he didn't even need any big financial donors to get his early campaign off the ground.

:lamo, Keep dreaming, Bloomberg couldn't beat Hillary in his best wet dream...

The only threat to Hillary is Warren, unfortunately she isn't running, even if she changes her mind she would be a heavy underdog..
