Right now Canadians, Australians and the Brits, great Allies all, are fighting in Iraq against ISIS. More should definitely become involved.,
And until the Iraqi majority Shia realize they have to address the issues created by themselves, we will be there for years upon years.
But sadly that is not the political situation on the ground.

To the bolded, that's the problem with the freaks on the right, they like to start fights. I'd prefer avoiding them to begin with. And I didn't mention polls. Obama campaigned on bringing the troops home from Iraq. In America, that's how it works, you vote for people based on what they say they are going to do, then you hope they actually do it. Now something's he did, and something's he hasn't, broken promises like we get from every president. Are you as intimate with Canadian politics as you try to be with American.

No, you guys handle it, can't the Canadians, the British and the Australians handle this rag tag bunch of criminals. Jesus Christ, what kind of militaries do those three big countries have anyway.

To the bolded. If you believe that statement, you truly don't know **** about American politics.

In fact the situation was created by the Coalition forces while the Iraqi people were under a dictatorship. They were later abandoned in 2011 and the Islamists, who were always fighting Coalition troops as well as murdering the Iraqi people, were allowed gain power.

Recall it was the Americans who started the war. If you start it you own it, remember?

Don't remind me of that, I was the one of a handful that opposed it at the run up, commencement, throughout its course, to its completion and withdrawal. Regularly reminding you of what a mistake it was and how that now, the majority of people agree with what my position was, all along.

By a consensus amongst American intelligence agency in its annual 2006 NIE, that war, the very invasion and occupation of Iraq, is the reason we have what we have today, was the direct responsibility for an increase in global terrorism, and made America less safe, yet there's folk here blaming Obama for the mess, discounting Bush's NIE assessment!!

They were elected by Iraqi's. The mess that Iraq is in justifies Bush 1 reasoning for not going after Saddam after Gulf War 1.
Now they are an Iranian client state.
The Iraq War 2 was a major mistake which will have repercussions across the ME for a number of generations.

Because Obama has done nothing to put a stop to it. THAT is why Obama is being blamed for the mess!
