Well, I've already told you what I preferred. That's been destroyed by a dozen years of failed USFP. I suppose you like the Middle East of today better then the Middle East of say 1998.

Can't you think of even ONE instance when everyone believed a certain way but everyone turned out to be wrong?

EDIT:The more i think about it the more examples come to mind.

So yes, once a murderous, brutal dictatorship is again gassing and starving the Iraqi people you will be happy.

Who told you it was a murderous, brutal dictatreship? In 1998 Iraq was a stable State (comparing with others in the Middle East) and what is more important it's population was united.
For Modern World Saddam was a relique of the past, but who gave them the right?...

There is no exact answer what was better for Iraq - to stay with Saddam or to make changes, but what I know exactly is that at the moment Iraqis are missing those times.

During that time the Iraqi government purposely redirected food and resources away from large swaths of the population that resulted in the starvation deaths of 400,000 to 500,000 Iraqis, mostly children.

That is what is best for the Iraqi people?

You seem quite content with the mess the U.S. has created in Iraq and the entire region now. Not only you, but the rest of the pro-war gang here are bitching because we don't have boots on the ground once again. It's very much time for the nations in the region to deal with the extremists in their midst themselves. You are a fringe group. The vast majority of people now acknowledge that the invasion and occupation of Iraq was a mistake, that includes, to your chagrin, the majority of your own GOP congress! Do you want to accuse them along with the majority of Americans of finding happiness at the thought of people being "gassed and brutally murdered"?
