It's about putting any restriction they possibly can on abortion.

It serves as a clamp against back door eugenics.

That being said, it introduces several problematic power struggles and is, as you would say, impossible to enforce.

Reducing negative perceptions of disability, getting accurate information to would-be parents, and establishing multi-agency cooperation to better inform doctors on available resources would do much to keep choice open while not pursuing a disproportionate emphasis on upholding stereotypes of the disabled.

There is no logic when it comes to religion.

if someone has the means to successfully raise such a child, fine. If the parents do not, why should society be saddled with the millions of HC costs such a child is going to impose on the tax payers when that money could be used for far better uses

I don't disagree with what you've said, but just out of curiosity I would like to know what better uses you had in mind.

treating soldiers injured in battle would be a better use of our medical resources.

Because human life is precious. At least to some of us. I would have never pegged you as a pro-abortionist.

Why? Why is the treatment of soldiers more important than the treatment of any fellow human being? I have a feeling many of those wounded warriors would disagree with you.

I am a hard core libertarian who finds restrictions of human freedom based on silly myths to be abhorrent

    1) if "God" is against abortions-he will deal with abortionists in his realm not yours

    2) I don't believe all human life is precious. Some is, some is not.

    3) society is not helped in any way, shape or form, to force women who do not want to give birth to do so.
