Same-sex marriage on course to be approved by Ireland [W:112]

I find it hilarious that people like you actually turn more people into agnostics and atheists.

However, what it IS to me, is that people like you are constantly trying to change laws so that you can enforce your theocratic bilge.

You are an addict, you are addicted to how you have twisted christianity into a "god as hitman" zealotry.

Religion is dying, because information and reason are readily available. Join the dinosaurs.

It'll survive your inane folly. LOL.

Somehow....I think God will care a lot less about who someone loves than he will about what productive people did with their lives and how they treated their fellow mankind. That was really what the teachings of Jesus Christ are about. He had nothing to say about gay marriage or even anything close to it. Sorry Bub.

You're as wrong as can be.

Like I posted previously, the Bible confirms that Jesus is God. As God, Jesus is the one who gave Moses the Levitical law against gay sexual relations to begin with; and he’s the one who inspires all Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16), including prohibitions against gay sexual relations in Romans 1:26-27 and I Corinthians 6:9-10, etc.

It’s also worth noting that Jesus didn’t mention wife beating or other sins such as pedophilia either, and there are not many folks who would argue he approved of those behaviors. So Jesus was under no obligation to reiterate the moral laws against homosexual sin that already existed, unless there were clarifications to be made.

So you struck out on that one.

As for Jesus / God not caring about sexual immorality, what Bible are you reading? God destroys Sodom and Gomorrah!

Revelation 21:8 confirms God is not at all pleased with sexual immorality and that those who practice it will wind up in the Lake of Fire: "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

Revelation chapter 2 confirms Jesus' promise to put Jezebel on a bed of suffering for her fornications, and for teaching the same thing to others. And there's a lot more where that came from.

So sorry, sport, but your spiel above is more a sophomoric Disneyland fantasy than a valid theological argument.

Gay marriage approved in Ireland.

Just shows they're Biblically and spiritually challenged also.

Agreed, but homosexual marriage is just a symptom. The real poverty is rejecting the Judeo-Christian ethic in general.

What you do on this board would land you in the hell you so happily send people to.

Too bad that there is so much hatred in your heart masquerading as faith.

The real poverty is insisting that you have the right to impose the ethics of your religion onto others.

As Hitchens said on national TV the day Falwell died: "If you gave [Jerry] Falwell an enema, he could be buried in a matchbox"

That's just more nonsense.

"I am the way and the truth and the LIFE..." - Jesus, John 14:6
That's just more nonsense.

You know you've lost an argument when the only responses you can muster are bible verses, "nuh uh"'s and memes. Have you ever formed a thought or argument yourself?

Keep preaching hate, "christian".

Jesus was not a Christian for his words to then be relevant on my observation.

Then how do you say Christianity is a religion of death when its founder is the source of life, and the means of eternal life?

It's founder is not the religion, and cannot be located today in any case.

Uhh, you were the one limiting the slavery question to a single line out of the bible. Now suddenly homosexuality requires looking at the whole thing?

How come with slavery we don't look at the whole bible? Another poster already gave you some quotes outright supporting slavery.
Anyone reading this can hopefully easily see his lack of consistency. It's probably best to just let him continue to humiliate himself seeing as getting him to see logic isn't possible.

You couldn't be more wrong. There is a HUGE difference between negative behavior such as "wife beating" and being in a loving/committee relationship. All you are doing is cherry picking which parts you want to believe and discarding the rest. The life and teachings of Jesus Christ stand in direct contra to your claims.

Christianity is a false faith. Moreover, it is alien to the pagan, Gaelic spirit of a nation like Ireland. Pagans do not find homosexuality anathema because they do not hate their own sexuality. Erotophobia is unknown among them.

Catholicism was imposed upon the Irish. They were not 'converted' en masse; had the ecclesiarchy of Rome not decided to conquer the Island spiritually it would probably still worship its native gods today. This is as much a blow against the Jewish invention of Abrahamic monotheism as it is a blow for equality.

Erin go brâgh!

What remains to be done is a great revival of northern European traditional polytheism, to drive Christian and Muslim alike from those lands. Let the European Christian go to Israel to be the Jew he secretly longs to be.

You wear clothing of two different materials sometimes, yes?

Nonsense. I've already shown you otherwise.

You wear clothing of two different materials sometimes, yes?

Start a thread on it and find out. This one is for gay marriage.

According to the Bible, in the end it will be the heathens and Christ-haters who will be eradicated from the land and thrown into the Lake of Fire.

:lamo

You brought up Leviticus and claimed the rules still apply. Therefore it is fair game.

And we both know you break plenty of rules from Leviticus. Let those without sin, and whatnot...

Your Bible is a fiction and you are a traitor to your European heritage in observing it.
