so in other words, they understand the dynamic better than our own leaders.

I don't think we should have gone in either time, let alone the first time we appointed our "leader" to their government. Its not a lot different than what we did in Egypt, or Venzuela back in the 70s and 80s.

What we should have done is just leave them alone, and stop pretending to be like the British. Even with the ISIL threat, we need to let them be and stop making more enemies than we need to.
