ISIS takes 'full control' of Palmyra

ISIS fighters had stormed the modern city, which is also known as Tadmur, on Wednesday. The city is just meters from the ancient ruins of temples and other structures, which have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I understand American citizens don't care about 'savage Arabs' killing each other. But why don't we care about international cultural heritage? It is our history, as well.
Is there anything we could do in order to stop ISIS? Of course. It is our fault Jihadis pillage, torture and murder innocent people all over the Middle East and it is our responsibility to stop them. It is time to take the blame and finally solve the problem of ISIS once and for all.

It now holds about 50 percent of the Syrian landmass, if I saw correctly this morning in Der Spiegel. But this is what you get, when you say that the neighborhood should take responsibility. The same thing happened in Kosovo, Georgia and Ukraine. In a way it happened in Libya and it looks about to happen in Macedonia, while the situation is being made worse by the Europeans in Ukraine even now, by Merkel tuning them down this morning, when they ask to be given comfort that they will be able to join the EU, if they make the political efforts and changes. In effect the same thing is happening as has alienated the Turks. It makes you wonder, what to do.
