Boston University prof in racist tweet flap accused of trolling white rape victim | Fox News

Trolling a white rape victim? How very classy.

The woman, who identified herself as Sai Grundy and uses the same photo the professor uses on tweets she acknowledged last week, responded by making fun of the victim’s crying.

“’I literally cry’…. While we literally die,” she said before adding, “try this article. A white woman explaining this issue to other white women… who manages NOT to cry while doing it!”

Boston University needs to do the right thing here. This woman has no business in the classroom and her presence there is a poor reflection not only on Boston University but on higher education in general.

I have faith President Brown and the school will do the right thing.

This bitch needs to be canned. But i'm not holding my breath.

Personally, I think this woman is off her rocker but if she wants to spout off about how white people are the scourge of humanity then, by golly, let her do it. If the University wants to can her then that's their call but the upshot of it all is that her opinions and her posts effect absolutely nobody except her, the university and anyone who might be in her class. They, just like me, can all make their own choices about how to deal with her.

It is precisely the students in her class that I have concern for. It takes a certain amount of objectivity to be a University Professor and I have serious doubts that she could check her bias when doing things like grading papers.

I agree but that's on them. I had a handful of professors in college that were ideologues of one stripe or another and I learned how to deal with them. My objective was to pass the class and graduate. If that meant that I'd have to cater to a feminist or "econut" ideology then that's what I did.

As far as I'm concerned part of a college education is learning to deal with ideologues. You'll be dealing with them in the real world so why not get some practice before you run into a situation where it costs you a paycheck.

"This **** is $82,000 below my pay grade". Well let's get her fired and see if it's at her level then.

The first time was forgivable. The second time? Really? It's too much. She needs to be fired.

So? She's arrogant on top of being insensitive and racist. Maybe this is her way of auditioning for a job at CNN.

Clearly she is, as are a lot of the loony left social justice warrior types, but people on the left refuse to even acknowledge that these people exist, they want to pretend that they're the extreme, yet they are also the most vocal and the ones that get most of the airtime. It's time for both the left and the right to divest themselves of the extremist crazies and recognize that they harm everyone.

na msnbc takes more her ilk more than cnn. they have actually tried to clean up their act.

If boston university continues to employ this women then I highly suggest all white students avoid her class like the plague.
I think it also very much discredits boston university as a scholarly school for supporting such a person.

if this was a white person they would be fired automatically.

I hope that all you people criticizing this professor criticize hateful bigots like Pamela Geller or Ayaan Hirsi Ali just as hard

Ward Churchill kept his job for six years after his "Little Eichmanns" comment after 9/11, which was FAR worse.

That said, this BU professor is a loon who SHOULD lose her job.

Why?

Sai Grundy Is a hateful bigot all on her own. So is Gellar... on her own. I don't know enough about Ayaan Hirsi Ali to comment but why the need to provide a measure of cover for Grundy by insisting that these other people be included in any criticism? Gellar is taking a POUNDING right now in more than one thread on this site.

Did you post a comment in any of them insisting that anyone criticizing her must also criticize Grundy with equal enthusiasm? If you did, great. If not, zip it.

So read the whole exchange as well as the article the conversation was about. And the article had nothing to do with sexual assault so the woman making the complaint DID hijack the conversation. That said, if someone hijacks your conversation with their rape story you at least say "I'm sorry about what happened to you but...." and THEN tear into them about derailing.

The whole $82000 below my pay grade comment? Yeah, she is full of herself. Seems like an unpleasant person to hang around and I certainly wouldn't take her class if I had a choice.

If I'm not mistaken, she hasn't entered a Boston classroom yet. I posted info from her CV (available online) in another thread, and you can see exactly who she is from this. She's filling a little niche for her new employer, and she will be wildly, wildly popular with the very few students who are interested in her boring two-note song.

Institutionally, the concern, at least in my opinion, should be the number of auto-grade challenges there will be by any student who doesn't fit the extremely limited student demographic she will appeal to. I'm sure Dr. Grundy has already had a little conference with HR, and they've probably jump-started her on harassment training required of all.
