Re: Asia boat migrants: UN despair over lack of rescues

I have to say, it's typical of the UN that they would fixate their "despair" on law abiding, responsible nations as opposed to the dictatorships and abusive nations these poor people are fleeing from.

Perhaps those comfy in their offices on United Nations Plaza in New York City, having their secretaries and assistants book their luncheon reservations at fashionable NYC restaurants and limousine service, might think about using some of the $100s of millions, if not $billions, they waste on their own pleasures to support nations willing to take in these poor people.

Between one and the other are an entire boatload of options you ignore in your haste to blast others for the "lack of humanity".

    It's easy to say that.

I have advocated putting the military at our own southern border. I think other nations should do what they can to protect their own citizens from the threat presented by illegal immigrants.

Syria certainly could and should have been prevented. And yes we must sort out a new system to guarantee security for populations.
