there are more poor (below the poverty line) whites in America than there are blacks total and that includes rich blacks, middle class blacks and poor blacks. Yet all those poor whites commit less murders than all of the blacks, poor, middle class and wealthy combined

I wonder what the initial motivation for the animosity was? With gang bangers I can understand it. It usually originates over turf wars, over who gets to sell drugs where. It is about cold hard cash. It doesn't justify it but I get it.
I wonder what it was here. Is Sons of Anarchy more realistic than I give it credit for? Do modern day biker gangs actually have their hands in gun and drug running?
Or was it over something completely mundane?
From local KCEN:
Police had been made aware of growing gang activity at Twin Peaks but did not receive cooperation from the management. Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton stated that the event could have been avoided had the restaurant worked with Waco PD.
"This is one of the worst gun fights we've ever had in the city limits. They started shooting at our officers," Swanton said.
At least three people have been arrested post-shooting.
Police have declined to release the names of the gangs involved, but at least five were present. Some of the gangs were fighting as allies. Police estimate that between 150-200 gang members were involved.
...Police ask that civilians continue to avoid the area, because they believe more biker gangs are traveling to the area.
Multiple agencies, including the Texas Department of Safety and Federal Bureau of Investigation, are on scene to help with the investigation. BREAKING: Nine Dead in Shooting at Twin Peaks - kcentv.com - KCEN HD - Waco, Temple, and Killeen
From Dallas's Fox station:
Swanton said at least five rival gangs gathered at Twin Peaks for a meeting that he said focused on turf and recruitment, two areas where the groups have often clashed. Preliminary findings indicate a dispute broke out in a bathroom and then spilled into the restaurant where it escalated to include knives and firearms, he said. There were 150 to 200 gang members inside the restaurant at the time.
Police were aware of the meeting in advance, and at least 12 Waco officers in addition to state troopers were outside the restaurant, part of a national chain that features scantily clad waitresses, when the fight began. Armed bikers were shot by officers, Swanton said, adding that the actions of law enforcement prevented further deaths. It was not known if any of the nine dead were killed by police officers.
Swanton said that the restaurant's operators were also aware of the meeting in advance and would not cooperate with authorities.
"Apparently the management (of Twin Peaks) wanted them here and so we didn't have any say-so on whether they could be here or not," Swanton said. 9 dead, 18 injured in Waco biker gang shooting - Fox4News.com | Dallas-Fort Worth News, Weather, Sports
-Mexican drug cartels use Biker gangs, Mexican gangs and black gangs in the US to distribute their drugs. Biker gangs are the most used method as they are basically a weaponized mobile illegal pharmacy and basically every modern drug user knows this hence US biker gangs are Mexican drug cartels main distributor. They have been for several decades now.
Am I the only one who thinks this is a little cool - like an old west shoot out (that's presuming only those involved were the ones who got their asses shot)?
