Affirmative action not only persecutes white males but also asians. It is a hate crime and why do we let it continue?

Harvard accused of bias against Asian-Americans | Fox News

may 16 2015
A complaint Friday alleged that Harvard University discriminates against Asian-American applicants by setting a higher bar for admissions than that faced by other groups.

The complaint, filed by a coalition of 64 organizations, says the university has set quotas to keep the numbers of Asian-American students significantly lower than the quality of their applications merits. It cites third-party academic research on the SAT exam showing that Asian-Americans have to score on average about 140 points higher than white students, 270 points higher than Hispanic students and 450 points higher than African-American students to equal their chances of gaining admission to Harvard. The exam is scored on a 2400-point scale.

The complaint was filed with the U.S. Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights.

“Many studies have indicated that Harvard University has been engaged in systemic and continuous discrimination against Asian-Americans during its very subjective ‘Holistic’ college admissions process,” the complaint alleges.

Why?!? Because secretly we all hate the Whites and Asians. What do you think?

Yes, this is a hate crime?

It is often instituted for government and educational settings to ensure that certain designated "minority groups" within a society are able to participate in all provided opportunities including promotional, educational, and training opportunities.[8]

Welcome to higher education in the US. Whites and Asians are at a disadvantage, all other minorities usually have lower standards, have a positive factor due to their race when weighing admission decisions and oftentimes get free money in the form of race-based scholarships.

It's absolutely racial discrimination, but this isn't anything new. It's not just Harvard, it's pretty much anywhere.

And that's why there's a disproportionately high percentage of black people in college.

And not just in the US, by the way.

Went right over your head didn't it.

Less may apply, but don't pretend it's alright or not discrimination over the fact that schools set lower standards for certain races and oftentimes have race-based scholarships. It's discrimination and it's wrong. There are schools pretty much devoted to minorities as well.

Good point, but look at it from the other side. Lotsa dough buys good enough grades to get into the IVY's inner sanctums too.

And the people who get perfect scores on the SAT but still get rejected are also victims of scoreism. And people who get rejected even though they have many phenomenal extra-curricular activities are victims of activityism. But the people who are children of politicians or Harvard graduates never seem to complain because they always get preferential treatment. Instead of focusing on that let's complain about bull****!

Went right over your head, didn't it?

Went right over YOUR.... yeah well that's stupid.
I'll just explain; That a certain minority makes a smaller percentage in higher education institutions does not neglect the fact that setting lower standards for members of this minority is discrimination and is wrong.

I think a black person with the same GPA as you worked harder, on average.

Why? Do blacks have different brains than whites?

I wouldn't call race bias in college admissions a hate crime, but it is open and obvious discrimination by race. Where it is done by government, the Supreme Court should hold it unconstitutional, period.

No it isn't new. Been going on for 45 years and us gutless whites just accept it . Maybe the asians have some balls.

You don't know that. Just another of your silly conspiracy theories. OTOH, affirmative action is stated govt policy. You have to discriminate against whites and asians or the law comes after you.!!!
