I'm not worried about "most people". I'm concerned with the truth. The truth is that I support affirmative action which is not, as sincerely as many people believe otherwise, a racist policy. I understand that, on DP, I am posting among ignorant people who have no idea what they're talking about, but that doesn't bother me.

According to the poster I was reacting to it should because they should be considered underpriviliged purely on the basis of race.

Nobody said anything about the Obamas. I know that you're trying to use deductive reasoning to draw a conclusion about how my argument would affect Sasha and Malia Obama, but I suggest that you stop because you've failed.

    Obama's daughters are...

    1)Children of a politician

    2)Children of an Ivy Graduate.

If you knew anything about Elite college admissions you'd know that those two factors each have a much greater chance of them being accepted into an elite school than their race. However since you're a conservative race-baiter you're ignoring these factors. You're a typical conservative.

Affirmative action is by its very nature a racially discriminatory policy. It was to hide that ugly truth that the euphemistic term was concocted. No amount of asserting that this purposeful discrimination by race is not racism proves your assertion is true--it is only your opinion. But I am always glad to see people who support race discrimination expose their prejudice for all to see.

If your arguments were better, you would not need to use personal insults against other posters as a crutch to prop them up.

I take it you know something about the admissions policies of elite colleges. Do you think the elite colleges Mr. Obama and his wife attended admitted them solely on merit? If so, I wonder why Mr. Obama has never made the transcripts of his grades public.

The parts of Mrs. Obama's senior thesis at Princeton that I have read online suggest strongly that she could not have been admitted to that law school on merit alone. It is such sophomoric, cliche drivel that a smart, self-respecting high school junior would be embarrassed to have cranked it out.

I've already responded to you and now you're just repeating yourself. Do you have something new to say or are you just going to continue repeating your false narrative and laughable accusations?

It's absolutely racial discrimination, but this isn't anything new. It's not just Harvard, it's pretty much anywhere.

Actually they aren't. Tavis Smiley did a great interview with Jennifer Lee about how AA is being used to drive a wedge between blacks and Asians.

Also, most college don't even consider race in a factor regarding admissions.

The National Association for College Admission Counseling states that there are no racial quotas and that the number of schools that consider race when students are applying are in the minority.

Not until the blame is actually put where it belongs. Ever notice that when these subjects come up here, it is always someone else's fault for the conditions that blacks face? When was the last time any of the so called black leaders said "it's our fault, lets clean up our act"? How many times have you seen black leaders say "lets change how we handle the situation"? Instead of "look how no one helps us"?

"Let not the son be put to death for the inequities of the father. Nor the father be put to death for the inequities of the son. But each to their own inequities." It is past time for blacks to take responsibility for their own sins instead of blaming everyone else.
