Boston bomber Tsarnaev sentenced to death for 2013 attack

No one stated he was. Just because a person is against the DP is and does not make them a fan of this PO ****.
But that does not work for you now does it?

There are people I honestly do not comprehend why others don't want them dead. We had a case here in Texas where a guy shot a woman in the face while robbing her, then raped and killed her. He went from convicted to dead in 8 years -- which ain't bad.

This was a mistake.

Not because of the DP; I'm not anti-DP. And if anyone deserves the DP, it's Tsarnaev.

It's a mistake because there's a good chance that it will backfire. Jihadists will begin calling this guy a martyr, and it will lead to more copycat attempts at this kind of bombing. Better that he should be beaten to death by fellow inmates.

Who cares what the religious crazies call him? He is not being put to death because he's Muslim, he's being put to death because he's a cold-blooded murderer. If the idiot Muslims want to pretend he's done something good, let them. Their time will come as well.

Let me help you out then.

You see, I have these principles that tell me what I want is not inherently something you can call justice. I often see the question pop up something like "well what if he'd killed YOUR FAMILY?" Yeah. I'd want the guy dead. Absolutely. But how on earth do you not understand that our justice system is specifically set up NOT TO WORK LIKE THAT.

How you view the death of the dirtbag that I described as wrong or unjust is beyond me. We'll never see eye to eye on this. My heart, while it does bleed, just cannot bleed for the murderer. Sorry.

Why not avail yourself of what the problems are with the DP- Withholding evidence by DA'- no penalty - innocent people on death row university students found evidence to clear some- I think that was Illinois - Race plays a factor- 2 % of the counties in the US have the highest rate of DP assigned as a sentence. Low IQ, 70 or so executed - Your justice system is a ****ing bad joke and corrupted.

????

We really do speak a different language sometimes, but hey, at least you guys understand each other.

You're missing the point. You accused someone else of being a "fan" of Tsarnaev for being against his execution. Now you're hedging on how brutal his richly-deserved demise must be. Where's your resolve?

Well, in that it's actually this racist society that has failed this young man and drove him to this...oh, ****...you're right...I'm becoming a liberal. :scared:

People are killed by other people every day. Very few of them deserve it as much as this guy does.

Lethal injection is so 1982. I say drown his ass in a vat of lukewarm bacon grease.

How unusual.

So we should do nothing, say nothing, be nothing to avoid offending them? Why walk on eggshells for these medieval throwbacks?

Of course we shouldn't "do nothing!" Didn't you bother to read my first post in the thread?

Having him beaten to death by other inmates is perfectly fine by me.

It costs a ton of money, we get it wrong sometimes, and it doesn't serve as a deterrent.

It's a parody of how people respond to statements from people who are against the death penalty. If you aren't falling over yourself to demand horrible death, you are on the side of terrorists.

Some people can't separate their wants/emotions from justice and similar concepts. Their sense of justice extends only as far as their desires will let it extend. They can't be reasoned with because their emotions and desires are the only basis of their opinion on the "proper" punishment for crime.

In the United States, where dangerous criminals can be safely locked up, the death penalty serves no other purpose but revenge. People advocate it to feel better - to give people what they think they "deserve". They're sentencing people to death based on subjective notions of morality. That, from my perspective, is a very sick way to use our justice system.

If a police officer had shot and killed him during that hunt then none of this thread would be here. We would have all moved on.

But that didn't happen.

When you rip apart a young child's innocent body you lose membership in the human race. He should be put down but it isn't going to happen that quickly.

Due to the amount of money and time for the DP I would choose to have him serve life in prison but in the general population. He may have some allies in prison but there is going to be one bad ass who wants that notoriety of killing him.

The death penalty is a waste if money. Sure it can be changed but show me one presidental candidate who has came out in support of eliminating the appeals.

What has happened to carrying out the sentence the next morning, as it should be and used to be and no I am not a big fan of the death penalty but certainly in cases like this, not just the type but the absolute irrefutable and proven guilt too.

Ever hear of appeals?
Ever hear of people cleared of sentences after sitting on Death row for 20 or 30 years after they should have been executed according to your belief.
Guess not.
Cloistered world you reside in.

No, you quite literally do not. He is still a human being in every way. Dehumanizing him only helps people rationalize their support for the death penalty. It's much easier to pretend you're endorsing the death of someone who's inhuman than it is to acknowledge that you're killing someone who is as much of a human being as you are.

Why? Do you think bacon is magic? Do you think bacon actually makes him go to hell?

I do think bacon is magic... on my tongue.

I don't think it makes him go to hell, but it would certainly remove the perceived glory of being a mass murderer caused by things like getting on the cover of Rolling Stone if the attack is done in the name of Islam. He will die a martyr in some peoples' eyes.

but he could keep filing all sorts of lawsuits for many decades to come, all at taxpayers expense

He can also keep appealing his death sentence for many decades to come, all at taxpayers expense.

And there are wackos everywhere. Proves squat. Manson had his. And that proves?????

Nothing really...except a complete and utter decline in humanity. How in the world would men like Manson and this idiot attract a collection of young women devoted to them while serving time for a vicious act against humanity. I am not sure I would classify those teenage girls as wacko...just stupid. Even the animals who are part of ISIS have young girls pining to be their wives.

Boston bomber Tsarnaev sentenced to death for 2013 attack

So my guess is Sister Helen Prejean's testimony to play on the sentimental feelings of the jury didn't work as lethal injection will be in this bastards future. He'll be most likely transported to a supermax, spending 23 and 1/2 hours in his cell while his lawyer no doubt will start the grind of appeals. Hopefully within a relatively short decade and a half - he'll get the needle, assuming the laws don't change between now and then.

I'd prefer he did LWOP in USP Florence

solitary confinement below ground 24/7

You don't get it. No one "rots" in prison. They are pretty well taken care of for the most part. And if ever were allowed into general population, would be treated as a hero among the Islamic converts.

you apparently don't know much about USP FLorence-aka SuperMax
