ISIS activity prompts threat level increase at bases

Looks like Big Boon came under BO, and more Boons that keep taking place too.

It gets that way when leaders of Arab Nations have no respect for a US President.

They certainly have, and for pointing out myself that both Bush and Obama policies have been a boon for the Islamic State, you attempted labelling me anti-American, lol.

No there is a difference.....you attempt to place the blame with Bush Jr.

I on the other hand put it back into its proper perspective.....and not only give the credit where it belongs. But focus on that credit and what else it has caused......now.

Yeah, the leaders of Arab nations ... who are pretty much all combating ISIS in some way.

And. What does that have to do with not respecting Obama and not trusting him. Answer, Not a damn thing!

Good point. And I don't believe that the disagreements that some Arab leaders have with Obama constitute a lack of respect. For the fringe right, unless were killing people and destroying property, no one will respect us.

So ISIS happened because Arab leaders don't respect Obama (a ridiculously stupid assertion), but now they're fighting ISIS because ... Bueller?

C'mon, use your "smart power" and explain this.

Not at all. I place blame with jr. And Obama.

In a way you do.....that can't be denied. But like I mentioned, you tend to equate some issues to Bush Jr. That just blew up exponentially under BO and has created more problems than what existed before. Worse than Bush faced or any other.

No Arab leaders don't respect BO peep in general.....not over ISIS. Although, I can see how your mind would come up with such.

Oh and you can't figure out why they do have to keep up appearances. Were you referring to their coalition for Air Strikes?

Do you see the Saud, or any Arab Leaders putting troops on the ground in Iraq? How about Syria? Now what about Libya?

Cmon lets see some of that Smart power of yours and explain how they are fighting ISIS?

I place some blame on the assholes who lead ISIS.

Well I agree, but I thought that that goes without saying. I blame the Islamic State (if indeed they were) attackers in Garland for shooting the security guard, and I blame Geller for her wreckless and irresponsible expression that drew them to her event.

I've stated multiple times that Obama's Middle East policies have made matters worse, not better. And you know that. But that doesn't let Jr. off the hook for his failed policies. And that's where your patronising kicks in, and we differ.

Well Jr didn't have much to do with ISIS nor Al Sham.....So when you try to put it on Jr. Its why I take it back to where the Problem had been festering all along. Which was before him. As your link showed.

It was already acknowledged you would agree. Like I said.....you tend to fly over it quickly with that blame and try to take it back to your partisanship on Jr. Despite whether it has anything to do with him or not.

You're dead wrong again. According to the NIE that was made public in 2006, Bush's invasion and occupation of Iraq caused an increase in global terrorism, and made America less safe. But such is your partisan blindness, you reject the intelligence communities report, thinking that from your house in Chicago you've got a better handle on the situation. And the Islamic State in Iraq dates to 2006. I can't take you serious.

The removal of Hussein created the vacuum as has been documented by the Bush era (2006) NIE which concluded that the invasion and occupation of Iraq has increased global terrorism, and made America less safe. Provoked as it was, we just had an incident in America that this time at least only ended with injury.

Hussein was removed YEARS before we left Iraq. Why didnt ISIS explode on the scene then?

Oh wait, they waited until we left prematurely....but what difference does it make? ISIS is still just a JV team, right?

Say what, your link in trying to take it back to Jr.....with your original deflection.

Showed it began in 99 with the beginning of their Creation on the Shura Council. Which is where you deflected from.

Moreover Terrorism increased under BO exponentially up to 61% and with More groups being created. With more attacks. This was not created by Bush's invasion of Iraq.

Which would include Ansar al Sharia that spread from Yemen to Libya.

So thinking from your little perch in the ME and attempting to twist things around while always deflecting to your favorite man to blame. Just won't work.....and especially when I am around. So save all that BS.

Your presence is not nearly as important or influential as you suppose. BTW, Bush has admitted that the Iraq war was a mistake, its safe for you to come out now.

Your credibility around here isn't all that much to stand on.....nor was that perch in the ME. But you can keep on telling yourself how you are Patriot.

Although, they don't use that term over there, much!

The IRAQ WAR WAS A MISTAKE!!!!!!!!! Hello.

The IRAQ WAR WAS A MISTAKE!!!!!!!!! Hello.

Which has nothing to do with BO peep and his failed policy with ISIS, AQ, or Ansar al Sharia.....nor why NAC has upped security at all US Military bases, National Guard and Recruiters Offices, all across the US at this time.

Yes, it most certainly does. Iraq was the beginning of the power vacuums that the US would create over the next decade. And we've already agreed that Obama's contribution to the rise of the Islamic State, (which began with Bush) shadows Bush's.

Like I said on this issue its not credible.....as the vacuum you speak of, was not by Jrs doing. He left BO a simple task to go with the Largest Embassy in the World. That was to get a SOFA. BO failed, while mocking Maliki, despite giving that speech on how we were leaving it.

Admitting BO is just part of the Problem, truly makes light of how much that entails.

But I didn't say that he was/is just part of the problem. I said he's done MORE damage to the ME than Bush. Why do you keep misrepresenting my position on this. As to Bush and Iraq, I'll go by the consensus of the intelligence committee and their conclusion on Iraq in their 2006 NIE, before accepting what you say about it, no disrespect intended.

Power vacuums in the ME have existed since the dawn of time. The most stable the region has ever been is the times that we asserted our dominance and occupied the place.

Then we left...

You must be a young man. Following a dozen years of American military adventurism in the region, regime change and other interference, the Middle East is in far worse shape than it's ever been in my life time and that's more important to me then what was going on in 653.

The 2006 NIE concluded with intelligence community consensus, that the Iraq invasion and occupation has caused an increase in terrorism, and made the US less safe. Polls now all show a strong majority of Americans acknowledge the Iraq war as a mistake, including the "decider" himself. Are you aware of the present condition of Libya and Syria. Our policies in the region have so angered Russia and China that they are doing things that may pose future problems for us, including telling us no at the UNSC on further military intervention, if you recall Hillary's angst over that. And the opportunistic (to the power vacuum) Islamic State is quit well menacing the region.
