That if everyone had personal responsibility we would have a much better society and getting rid of some of the safety nets would lead to more personal responsibility

I don't know why this even has to be stated, but the government is not there to pay for birth control for anyone. It's just a sad statement on our society that...

    1. This is even considered, and
    2. That people are so stupid that they can not prevent a pregnancy unless someone runs in with free birth control.

Safety nets; you mean like corporate subsidies and tax breaks? You mean like faith based initiatives? You mean like red states that take more federal funding than any other states? Or are you just talking about feeding and housing needy children?

It's really a health issue. So, what would you have US do?

so your idea take money from the tax payers, ..."because you just like something"

the program was intended to be privately funded..but now SOME people want it expanded into the public arena....

Perhaps so, but it is what it is and an ounce of prevention is worth the pound of cure that the right would never pony up. So pay up, or leave Colorado.
Killing one person is murder, killing 100,000 is foreign policy

Obviously not everyone who voted for Obama is a democrat but most are, even if they dont admit it, and there were plenty who didnt vote, so I'd say the number is somewhere in the ballpark

No I'm arguing against a whole class of govt spending, charity, govt programs should try to be of some benefit to all. Charity is better left in private hands even with our taxation we still manage to give quite a lot of money to charities
and what if the publicly-funded charity actually ends up saving EVERYONE money? not just those who received the charity? I understand if you're just against it based on principle but you've really picked a bad example to go after here since this has been such a successful program.

and it's off-topic, I know, but being a democrat is not something you "admit" to. to be a democrat you have to actually go down to the DMV and get yourself registered as a democrat. if you haven't done that, you're not a democrat.

Yeah, mental health. Maybe we should stop enabling them?

If it really were a health issue they wouldn't be installing IUDs in teens.
