Hillary Clinton’s Appeal Survives Scrutiny, Poll Says

It appears as though the idea she will quit the race is unfounded, as she is seen as a strong leader.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2015/05/06/us...says.html?_r=0
Hillary Rodham Clinton appears to have initially weathered a barrage of news about her use of a private email account when she was secretary of state and the practices of her family’s foundation, an indication that she is starting her second presidential bid with an unusual durability among Democratic voters.

Americans now view Mrs. Clinton more favorably and more see her as a strong leader than they did earlier in the year, despite weeks of scrutiny about her ethics, a New York Times/CBS News poll has found. And nearly nine in 10 Democrats say the nation is ready to elect a woman president.

    Yes but:

While roughly 48 percent of Americans say Mrs. Clinton is honest and trustworthy, about four of five Democrats think she has those traits
The 2016 presidential campaign has barely started and, as usual, the MSM (especially the NYT) is unlikely to suddenly favor more conservative candidates. Don't worry, be happy articles are going to be the normal MSM fare offered up in HRC's defense.

Beyond all rational and reason, I figure. So once again, the stupidity and short attention span of the electorate has been underestimated.
Nancy Pelosi said: “We have to pass it, to find out what’s in it.” A Doctor called to a radio show & said: "That's the definition of a stool sample"
It's a global Jihad, stupid. Allowing that poison into the country is only going to increase the damage it inflicts on others.

Yeah ... I had just read this and wondered how long before Pete posted it.

One mustn't be selective when posting this stuff.
Despite the attractive headline this thing wasn't exactly good news for the old girl.
The NYT is desperately trying to salvage their gal's viability.
I guess I'm supposed to be surprised Democrat die-hards care more about partisanship than ethics.
I said that here days ago.

Is the lesson to be learned that a candidate can stop their rapid decline by hiding out like she has done.
I take that back ... she came out in favor of amnesty yesterday.
It seemed like a simple enough position ... I don't know why she had to read it.
That and taking no questions are not signs of a quality candidate.
    Better never than late.

Said it before, will say it again...IF, Hillary is nominated, then the demo's have publicly said they are the party of corruption....

Hillary Clinton’s Appeal Survives Scrutiny, Poll Says

There was a rumor she would quit the race? Good god, why? The woman has locked up substantial numbers of important donors, dramatically leads in the party polls, and has already ran an intense campaign 8 years ago.

Who was saying this bit of nonsense? Do you mean Rand Paul saying the money issues would somehow derail her campaign?

She's a formidable candidate. That she has now emerged from the e-mail controversy, an issue that modestly dented her polling numbers, suggests that she may now be largely "innoculated" should the issue arise during the campaign. Only significant new and credible information on that matter might pose a risk. That such information didn't emerge during the period of intense scrutiny may indicate that whatever significant information is available has already become public.

In addition, the forthcoming Benghazi-related hearing very likely will have no meaningful impact on her polling, as the conclusions of repeated investigations are consistent. Her willingness to testify could bolster public perceptions of transparency at little political risk to her candidacy. She's an experienced political leader. Had she felt that the hearing would pose a serious risk to her campaign, she would have declined to participate, letting the consistent outcomes of the many previous investigations define the narrative.

    Hillary has no appeal.

She couldn't even get anyone to show up for that book tour or even get anyone to buy the stupid book.

The candidates that she stumped for in 2014 are now unemployed and she has the unfortunate characteristic of turning voters off just by opening her mouth.

I wouldn't give much credence to any poll that shows her in the lead.

Nonsense. Everyone does not share your partisan view of her.
