Obama: 'No excuse' for violence in Baltimore

Hey CJ, check out this black savage!

Very good - so what's your point? I never said every black person was a savage. In fact, I posted the video of the mom smacking some sense into her kid on this or another thread and said that was true leadership. However, I guess in your book, one black kid singing and dancing excuses dozens/hundreds of black kids beating up people, destroying public and private property and rioting? Nice deflection. You're like the vendor who holds up a shiny apple to sell the bushel of rotten ones.

Which began just after Reagan's amnesty.
Except in the minds of delusional far righties--who think they all showed up on Obama day one .

I'm sure you know how dishonest that statement is.

I'm sure you know that Reagan kept his part of the bargain and the Democrat Congress failed to hold up their end of the bargain, and thus the situation that now exists.

For one, I never ever wanted a ride in the back of a Chicago PD paddy wagon, with only steel walls to bounce off of while being handcuffed. Anytime and every time I was stopped by a Chicago cop, it was always yes sir and no sir, and no lip or resistance, because to resist or try to obstruct automatically meant a trip in the back of a paddy wagon to soften you up.

When I saw Freddy being carried by two cops to that wagon, looking at his face, I would have to say they'd already broken his spine before they loaded him, notice they dragged him, no leg movement on Freddie's part, he was already paralyzed when the loaded him, see Freddie's face, and imagine excruciating pain he must have been in. When cops take people down, they put the person on their belly, and place a knee into the back.

I just watched the video. I got so caught up in this Obama said/didn't say nonsense that I completely forgot to watch the video that started it all. I'm not sure I see the video as evidence that his spine was broken but I do think that the cops should have almost immediately called an ambulance. If they made him ride like that in a paddy wagon, they really took that **** too far. They had the guy in cuffs. They saw he was in pain. They realized he couldn't walk and they can still be telling him to walk. I'm sure that the average police officer sees suspects who don't want to cooperate every day, but something should have tipped them off when they had to ****ing carry the guy and his legs never once resisted. That's cold ****, man.

Here is an interesting article on those black savages rioting...RIOTERS DESCEND ON CEDAR VILLAGE; FIRES, CHAOS ENSUE | The State News

Oh wait, those rioters are overwhelmingly white, so they must not be savages...

Again, another attempt to equate what's happening in Baltimore with a sports riot. Pathetic. Once again, I think every one of those students who damaged property should be expelled from school and spend some time in jail. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Now, do you have any comments about the black youth assaulting people in the streets of Baltimore? Any comments about the black youth attacking and injuring police in Baltimore? Or are you still just going to excuse and joke about them as if it's just kids playing?

I get that your dismissal of my comments - I feel the same about yours.

I'm sure you know how dishonest this statement is.
Real conservatives from decades ago would be ashamed at what passes for the Republican party today.
Now continue with YER rants against liberals .

Unlike liberals, we see and call out lawlessness in every race. Liberals only see lawlessness if it wears a badge or it prays in a church.

What? No cute cat picks to show the seriousness with which you approach the subject of riots in Baltimore?

Or the seriousness with which you approach what caused the riots--every time it happens .

And we all get that you and the rest of the rightie spinners dismiss the genesis of every new situation.
The wrongies won't be happy until they get 1968 riots all over again and the second civil war they've been espousing since Obama came in.

Ignorant nonsense. Go look at what I've posted about this issue in previous threads and about the officer in the shooting of the man in South Carolina. When police should be criticized, I have. Criticize me all you want but don't flat out lie - I once thought you were better than that.

I'm sure you know that Reagan kept his part of the bargain and the Democrat Congress failed to hold up their end of the bargain, and thus the situation that now exists.

But when it's a Democratic President the Republican Congress has no fault.
We all know how you dishonest wrong-wing spinners roll .

Ignorant nonsense.
Which best describes everything you and your wrong-wing posters are doing to tear my Nation apart.
It's the only way you think you can take back the Presidency .

I don't have access to Facebook, but if anyone does Ray Lewis, a former player with the Baltimore Ravens and a resident of the city posts a very passionate and powerful condemnation of the rioters in his city and calls for them to get off the streets. This is what I was calling for from the President - this is what I call leadership.

I see you continue your dishonesty by clipping my post. We're done - take your crazy to someone who gives a ****.

Calling a person a liar is the oldest Republican dirty trick from Nixon there is.
It ends all decent discussion.
Especially when that's what Nixon did over and over until his blatant irrational lies stuck .

You chose to lie about me first--it's what 'you people' do when YER so desperate politically .

Quit lying about the President Canada John.
It's so like you to play blacks off on each other with Ray Lewis.
Pretty soon we'll have someone talk about the problems Ray Lewis has had in the past because that's what 'you people' do .

Because a person says they aren't a liberal they think they're better than those who they assign the word liberal.
Since the days of the draft-dodging phony piece of **** Dan Quayle and his family values routine--just lying moronic nonsense .

Unlike liberals, we see and call out lawlessness in every race. Liberals only see lawlessness if it wears a badge or it prays in a church.

Why, that does sound lawless of the liberals.

Did he refer to the rioters as "black savages?"

I'm just wondering how you, as a conservative, we're even able to tell the races apart. I would assume that you would just see "looters" and "rioters," and that any further attempts to distinguish them would just lead to blurry images and confusion.

No liberals have criticized the rioters, apparently. None at all.

Not on this thread you haven't - the best you've seen is liberals posting up videos and pics of white students rioting in a university town after a home win/loss and equating it with what's going on in Baltimore in an attempt to dismiss what is happening in Baltimore as nothing unusual.

Led by the President, you've always got a "but" that follows or precedes any pained acknowledgement of liberal failings.

And see, I don't wonder at all about you - one, because you're transparent and two, because I don't give a ****.

I lived on grape soda and mayo sandwiches for a large part of my childhood and teen years. I didn't choose to live like that. It simply happened. It's kind of asking why people 'choose' to live in violent neighborhoods. The overwhelming majority don't. They live their lives as best they can and their economic conditions don't allow them to simply pack up and leave or start anew. The world doesn't work that way and never has. That won't change with social programs. However, what they can do is ensure that these people don't also fall victim to a mentality where crime is seen as a more viable alternative. These programs ensure we have a less violent society.

I definitely understand your concerns. I was just trying to explain to you how poverty leads to crime. To be honest, I think the first step is discussing the issue outside of a vacuum. It's not enough to say 'fix the police departments!' and bingo. We're good. It's way more than that. It also involves knowing why people are disgruntled, and why they're protesting. Once we know the reasons behind that the solution isn't to attack anybody who discusses the issue in any depth which is what has been observed here.

If I were in charge of dealing with a lot of this poverty, I'd make welfare programs into a reward system. People would be given benefits based on their contribution to society. If you have a job but it's simply not enough to make ends meet, the government should give you a hand. If you're poor and you can't find a job but your kids are doing well in school and they're trying to get off the poverty cycle (the use of the word trying), the government should be giving you a hand. If a person is sitting in their trailer/ghetto/backyard all day not doing **** with their lives, the government should give them nothing. I think that's a reasonable middle ground in all of this.

I like your idea of a reward system for welfare! Not only does it make sense, it's fair. We all like being rewarded, and it introduces a bit of a competitive-game type of atmosphere into the mix. "I can do more than you can without breaking a sweat" type of thing. That's how most sports teams are run, and the cream will rise to the top. There are a lot of moms in this country who are trying to be both parents for their children, because the male half is missing from the home for various and sundry reasons, and I give them kudos for their efforts. How discouraged they must get at times! With our infrastructure falling apart, there's plenty of work to go around for any men who will step up to the plate. FDR did it, and we still enjoy the benefits of all the hard work those men did, and the public loved him for doing it. It's going to take a big change in thinking for those who see no hope in their future now, but I think it can be done. Little steps work better than giant strides sometimes. Let's get some businessmen involved, too. Great idea, Hatuey! :kissy:
