i wouldnt rate thermometers as accurate,either that or i would label thos weather gurus as bold faces liars.

in palm springs cali,they often said 110 degrees,while everyones thermomet would be at 120-125,thermal would hit 130.there were places in the 29 palms marine base where thermometer hit 140,yet people claim it impossible because the record recorded temp was never that high.yet downtown and a valley where marines train is 2 different things.in the right locations,the mountains trap the heat like an oven.

Are you saying that relying on the temperature at the international airport in Austin, Texas to tell us that we are having record high temperatures in not sound science? OK we'll throw in the temperature recorded right next to a mayor 8 lain expressway? OK THEN, we'll throw in the temperature of down town Austin to prove that it is getting hotter the more cars drive through down town near I35.

Don't you get it ? The satellite data is the only data in any way useful or comparable globally, however its duration is far too short to be of any consequence whatsoever

They come to the conclusions their governments pay them to, which is why in the UK I've probably paid an extra $4000 more for my energy in green tax over the last 5 years than I actually needed to

I was a geology major in college and have had a coarse in paleoclimatology. I can summarize the coarse by saying climate always changes. AGW is a theory, it's worth study but it's not settled science. Weakly now we read articles about how NOAA or another organization fudges the numbers to make the theory appear valid, even though an impartial valuation says otherwise. You may be a true believer if you wish but understand, there is no room for belief in science, which requires proof. When you believe, you are believing in the religion of AGW which is very different than the science.

I smell Exxon funded studies. It's a distinct, oily smell.

We're trying to keep the rabble from doing something exceedingly stupid, like copying Germany's “energiewende” ( Green revolution ).

Ideologues in Germany made huge and foolish decisions to make that Country the first Nation totally powered through renewable energy sources. There was no objective analysis, no intelligent and open debate, just a race to the bottom at the expense of the German consumer to be a shining example of of concept that could never work,

Thanks to this foolish commitment to substandard technology German consumers pay the highest electricity prices in Europe. They paid the highest amount in 2013 and the German Government raised their utility rates 20 % to subsidize Solar and Wind generated energy.

Renewable energy cannot on its own merits compete with fossil fuel energy sources so of-course as a substandard technology has to be heavily subsidized. From surcharges, to fees to taxes that increase every year the German people are being fleeced by Progressive " solutions " to a problem that doesn't exist.

Since renewable energies produce inherent lags in power ( Solar means the sun must be shining and wind means the wind must be blowing ) Germany has had to build new Coal fired generation power plants to make up for the obvious that for some reason they didn't foresee.

The level of idiocy behind these Green initiatives is unparalleled. Since 2010 Germany has had to increase their dependence on " lignite ", one of the dirtiest forms of coal fired generation to make up for the power lags that come with " renewable energies "

In 2014 lignite was the single biggest source of German power, generating 25.8 percent, and it has risen every year since 2010.

So the Progressives were given enough power to implement their " solutions " which have led to more and more discretionary income being taken from the pockets of German consumers as Germans pay 300 % more for their electricity than the average American.

And on top of everything their air in now dirtier than it was before they started this foolish initiative.
