It is a dam shame that this misstep cost General Petraeus so much. While with many thinking it'll be recognized as a once in the life time misstep rather than what many are claiming as treasonous, the missing piece is the intent, the malice, of which I've seen none. However not everyone is of that opinion.

Another fine example of professor lead leftist indoctrination of students in the publicly funded university education system.

Retired Gen. David Petraeus is being harassed by leftists, who chased him down a N.Y. street shouting “scumbag,” ”war criminal” and worse. Mediaite has video of the incident here. The anger and language of the demonstrators are so shocking, NPR issued a warning to viewers.

Petraeus, who resigned as CIA director in a sex scandal, is now teaching at CUNY, where S. Sandor John, Hunter College Adjunct Professor of Latin American History, has been organizing protests against him.

Not covered in the national news media that I'm aware of, but other outlets are:

It's been reported that the situation has gotten so bad that New York City police need to not only escort general Petraeus to and from his lectures, but also have to barricade his classroom to prevent disruption and also to ensure his student safe passed to and from the lectures.
Fine examples of leftist ideology ruling over any and all reason if you ask me. Just to put the excoriation of Petraeus in perspective of where it's coming from and who's making those and similar claims against the man.

So we have established he is not a whistleblower.

And people donating money to him is not the same as him selling information. What Snowden did was give the information to various British journalists.
Has he or has he not profited from his crimes?

I could cite examples, but it's not necessary - everyone already knows, so why bother? I trust Karma to handle it, since then it will be fairly done.

Why did you ignore the part where I said Snowden should be tried and convicted of the same charges as Patreaus and given the same sentence? Are you so blindingly partisan that even when someone is calling for equal treatment you still whine about bias?
Patreaus didn't release a million pages of diplomatic, military and foreign policy secrets to the media and Internet.

Prove me wrong. Tell us WHAT secrets - any actual secret - the general made public.

This seems to be common in the left. Once they seize on a demon, they refuse to let go. To this day, mention Pierre Trudeau to an NDP'er and you will get a vindictive rant and the man has been dead over 15 years. Sarah Palin is another example, six years since she was in public life and I can still get a rise out of the common leftie.

It is when that 'demon' has been cleared of wrongdoing, when the rap against him turns out to be completely false and they persist, is when it passes from mean politics to evil. There is a lot of hate in the left, they like to throw things and get dramatic in their tactics.

I would also like to see John McCain charged and convicted because he went to Syria and met with members of Al-Qaeda and ISIS and gave them classified information.
    Snowden released info publically.

Petraues released info to a woman who was a commissioned military officer who did not divulge it further. Big difference

He should have never been admired. He built his image through PR only. Petraeus is a bull**** artist. Americans got conned.

She wrote a ****ing book on it the information given. Are you that daft? Also Petraues should be stripped of his retirement (all $220,000 a year) and benefits as he was an Officer who violated Article 133 and Article 134 and admitted to it..

Our (Americans) worship of him has saved his ass and that's sickening. He violated the UMCJ.

Who knows.. we (you and i) don't know either as Government doesn't really tell you and i what was classified. But she was given access to this information and wrote the book. It was a such a big deal US Government actually filed Felony charges against him. He got to plea down.
