    so the movie was scheduled

    now it isnt scheduled

do we now kowtow to every ethnicity, every race, every religion, as to what may or may not rankle their feathers

those students had the ability to not attend, and to not watch the film

what about the ones that wanted to see it

    do they "count"

The group showing the film did "kowtow". What you don't seem to understand is that it chose to "kowtow". If it wanted it could have chosen to show the film anyway. It had a choice. It had the freedom to decide whether or not to show the film. That's freedom of speech. Nobody forced the group to not show the film.

A petition doesn't force the group to do that. The petition has no legal authority; it doesn't have any authority at all. It is simply the free speech of those opposed to the film.

What you're whining about is that those who were opposed to the film expressed their opinion - exercised their right to free speech - and those who were showing the film were actually empathetic and respectful and took into consideration the opinion of those opposed to it, and freely decided on what they wanted to do. You're the one that is opposed to freedom of speech here.

    no....

i do understand it was their choice to show, or not to show

my question....do we kowtow every time someone's feathers get ruffled

are we so worried about being politically correct and not pissing anyone off

where do we draw the line is my question?

    or is every petition granted....

and i am not opposed to freedom of speech......i wore a uniform so that you and everyone else could speak freely

i may not always agree with what you say, but i will never say you dont have the right to voice it

and please....where the hell was i whining?

Who is we? There is no we here. There is just the group in question. You're extrapolating from this situation to fit a worldview that doesn't exist. In this case, the general does not reside in the particular.

This has nothing to do with political correctness. You're manipulating reality to fit your agenda here.

where do we draw the line is my question?
There is no line to draw.

I'm sure I could find plenty of petitions that go nowhere.

and i am not opposed to freedom of speech......
You sure are in this thread.

i wore a uniform so that you and everyone else could speak freely
    I don't care.

i may not always agree with what you say, but i will never say you dont have the right to voice it
Then why are you complaining about the group expressing their freedom of speech by freely choosing the right to pull the film showing?

Maybe someone should tell all the "japs" that they should protest the showing of "Unbroken", just so the Muzzies don't get all the attention.

I remember when college campuses were diverse and celebrated free speech, actually I lied, I don't remember; my whole life colleges and universities have been invaded by SP's and it's really unfortunate.

It would not surprise me to learn that CAIR had a hand in this, considering that it is a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood. And I'm hardly surprised to see this enabling of jihadism on display at a commie campus like that one. Leftists and Muslim jihadists have something in common: They both hate the United States and western civilization in general.

One student association, on one campus, in one state, cancels the showing of one film and you think

DA MUZLIM BRUTHAHOOD COMMUNIST LEFTIST JIHADISTS DID THIS.

Because they feared some people might not like it, they chose not to do it, freedom of choice to be intimidated!"
