It's amazing how people like you just casually throw out comments like "white people are generally more passive" like it's just an accepted truth and when you are asked to provide evidence of your BS, you ignore the request and respond EXCLUSIVELY to other comments made by the poster asking you for the evidence. And, to make it worse, you pretend like you didn't make arguments you actually made. No integrity WHATSOEVER. Sickening.
Just an observation. Not everything is on the internet. Do you have a different observation?

That clearly supports the (my?) opinion that most (over 99%? of) police caused deaths are not so likely due to criminal acts by the officer(s) involved.
How in the world does 4 examples support your naive opinion? That's like someone bringing 4 bottles of wine to a party and another person saying, the fact that you only brought 4 bottles of wine to the party supports my opinion that the grocery store primarily sells beer. In order to test either of our opinions, an extensive study on the role of implicit and explicit racism of police officers who kill black people would have to be done. Such a study is not going to happen because it's nearly impossible so we have to make our judgments based on available knowledge. I've made my judgment based on extensive knowledge of racism, police violence and a combination of both - a knowledge base that includes, but is certainly not limited to the 4 examples I provided. You, on the other hand, haven't done much research on racism and police violence, have you? So what's your opinion based on - blind trust in the police? A default assumption that police tell truth about why they killed people? A blind faith in the demonstrably racist justice system.

I understand that you probably speak into an echo chamber at home and that our society endorses your willful naivete about racism in the police system, but it doesn't work for me. I've educated myself so, as far as I'm concerned, you're going to have learn a little bit more before you start trying to criticize my positions with any credibility.

An observation of what? How many police interactions with black people around the country have you personally witnessed? And, **** if I'm about to legitimize your racist comment by comparing "observations". Your comment and question are based in false premises : that one can even conclude whether black people are more aggressive than white people. Unless, you have a study, your comment is baseless.

Dude, I'm sure you don't think of yourself as a racist - most people don't, but you casual assertion that white people are more passive than black people is based in a stereotype of black aggressiveness which means that you have some implicit racism going on.

If it's not on the internet, then give me a name. I'll look it up myself. Point me to the research that supports your statement.

Why do you keep wanting to talk about blacks and the police? I didn't make a comparison between the passivity of blacks and whites, you keep bringing it up. I said in confrontation, whites tend to be passive. I am white, that's my experience. I have black friends but have not lived the black experience so I make no claims about their interactions with police. I don't often speak about something I haven't experienced. You on the other hand are quick to jump to conclusions. Don't use your imagination when you read what I say. I generally try to be pretty specific.

By the way, name's not dude. It's not sawdust either, but I digress.

And we're supposed to give officers the "benefit of the doubt" when people go out of their way to slander their victims.

Please. We have an epidemic of police brutality against the black population in the United States because the devaluation of black lives is endemic in the United States. Freddie Gray is one of the latest victims.
There are more white men killed by police than black men. Killings of white men outnumber those of blacks by 2 to 1. And plenty of them are killed under questionable circumstances. Latin Americans also come in for their share of death by policeman. So rhetoric about devaluation of black lives and the like is nothing but race hate mongering with no real basis in fact.

Of course, you never hear about it when a white man is killed by a cop. Al Sharpton doesn't show up to protest for some odd reason. Just last week a cop blew away a white college student with straight A's for no apparent reason here in Texas.

White men outnumber black men in America, so the given black man is more likely to be killed by cops. They are more likely to kill each other, too, so they are far more involved in violence than white men. Ipso facto, more are killed.

The number of black men killed by cops is small compared to the number who are murdered by other blacks, perhaps as little as 1 in 10 killings. The murder rate of black men is 20 per 100,000 per year. For white men it's 3 per 100,000 per year.
