Pregnant Popeyes worker fired after armed robbery

The double six shooter is an invention of Hollywood, most cowboys couldn't afford two pistols those who could used the second pistol after the first one was out of ammo.

I consider myself handy with a pistol and I couldn't do the akimbo revolvers with any level of accuracy, or shooting from the hip

I know dude. ;)

I have an audio recording of Mick Jagger admitting to killing both Kennedys!
I have a record of Neil Young singing.

I wonder if a should start a "preventative PR firm" before you do anything run it by me, I would have told them to not fire the worker
That's actually not a bad idea.

Though, supposedly, that's what legal departments are for.

Well but her firing was likely fully legal, the proble is how much trouble it causes your business and brand when people unrelated to the circumstances want to do what's " right" and not nessecarily care about what's "legal"

Unless the failure to follow the cash drop policy was a cover for refusing to pay for the stolen money (which may also be insurance fraud if she paid them 400 and they filed an insurance claim for the stolen cash ) then it may be very illegal

Just from an ethical standpoint, I was never overly bothered by her firing. The initial headline I read pissed me, off, then I read the stories and got more background, and thought, "Oh. That's not what the headline implied." (Unfortunately, all too common.)

I think it was kind of crappy to fire her, but not outrageous. I do think the only reason she got her job back is because of the media attention and resulting outrage. Corporate would never have involved itself otherwise.

All of those countries have more issues with the poor/destitute, I'd love to see something along the lines of developed nations with fire arm rates near ours, but we are the highest of any developed nation.

That is the problem with that comparison, you'll have to show me something similar among a developed nation with similar firearm ownership, but there isn't one and we are at the top of the list for developed nations.

Actually that's the point... you are missing the scientific method here.

IF high gun ownership was a major factor in homicide.. then high gun ownership over disparate countries should be correlated with high homicide... and low gun ownership rates with low homicide rates... regardless of other factors.

That's how a scientific approach would work.

so if you want to see if Gun ownership is really a causative factor.. you would need to compare countries with disparate conditions., And if the correlation was strong despite other variables then, its likely then gun ownership was causational.

but that's not what we find.

I think their chicken is really good myself.

It should be. It's fried in peanut oil rather then the lard that other fast food restaurants use.

Gotta wonder if the $400 was worth the publicity? I like their chicken, but mercy me, not the brightest move on their part.

I don't believe it. Something's missing. Anyone reading that story would see that. Either that's not why she was fired, or they thought it was a fake robbery. And why was there $400 in a fried chicken cash register?
