it's a common policy in fast food joints and convenience stores..... the policy is intended to prevent large losses due to robbery. ( and put a barrier on "inside man" type robberies)

I knew a manger and a clerk who both got fired after an armed robbery.. same exact reason.
the manager got canned for not making sure the clerk made her drops according to policy, and the clerk got canned for not making the drops.
i heard it ended up being an inside job, but that was just a rumor i heard.

    it not uncommon...
low paid clerk fails to make drops, has friend or accomplice come in and rob the joint after the register gets flush with cash... payday!

my question is why didn't the supervisor take the money out? that doesn't sound like a job of a casher to be messing with banking stuff but the manager or supervisor.
drops are made by clerks... it's as easy as sticking the money in an envelope or plastic roll and inserting it into the slot in the safe... nuthin too it.

supervisors are supposed to ensure the drops are being made at regular intervals, though....

that takes proof and evidence. people are conjecturing.

Sounds like she made herself eligible for the firing by screwing up previously.
I was wondering about that, seems like $400 is a bit much for leaving in the register. However, I leave open the idea that there was a reason she had not been able yet to put it in the one-way safe thingy places like that seem to have.

From the video it looks like there were two registers, at $200 each register...doesn't seem like much for a day that they know is going to be busy. I can't see a fast food joint like Popeye's starting with less than $100 in each cash register at the start of a shift. And I can easily see them making $200 dollars inside an hour.

I think that what happened to this gal was BS.

There's the reason she's stuck at a low paying fast food job

does it matter? if you want to accuse someone of something then you better have the facts to back it up with otherwise you are conjecturing with no evidence.
it means is that you don't have an argument.
