    As it stands:

    - Republicans don't have a states right argument for marijuana because the evangelical right is strongly against drugs. That is a fact.
    - They also didn't support gay marriage being a "states right" issue when every single one of them who voted on DOMA voted to pass it.
    - They also support passing federal government bans on abortion, ignoring the many states in which there are predominately pro-choice stances.

The biggest proof that Republicans are flaky when it comes to states is the retelling that Southern Republicans have of the Civil War. It's a retelling that paints their new understanding of states rights as an institution that needed to be protected. As opposed to the fact that the institution being protected was slavery. It also purposely ignores that Northern states were exercising their states right to try and influence the federal government. Why? Because it's much easier to get the Southern vote if you ignore the fact that the 'state right' in question was the right to have slavery.

Again, these are all well accepted facts. Acknowledging them is not a 'Go-Team Attitude'. However, your attitude makes you look like you don't have much to counter with.
Please engage someone else, perhaps in the Partisan Politics section where people are more receptive. I'm not interested in your speeches.

Right? It is weird when people do that.

We need to introduce him to a weed Twinkie. It'd blow his mind, not to mention his stance.

Gov Christie still has that itty bitty problem with a closed bridge.
He also has the habit of moving monies around from specific budgeted items –including fed dollars - to another area to make things well look better.

Timeline: New Jersey's George Washington Bridge Scandal | NBC New York

Jan. 8, 2014: The emails between Kelly and Wildstein are obtained by NBC 4 New York and other media outlets. The messages contradict for the first time publicly Christie's assertion that his administration was not involved. He cancels a public appearance, then hours later issues a statement saying he was "misled" and knew nothing. He says "people will be held responsible for their actions."
March 15, 2015: Federal investigators issue a new subpoena to the Port Authority after wrapping up interviews with members of the Borough Council in Fort Lee, the town where traffic was gridlocked.

I like Chris Christie, but a guy the size of a refrigerator shouldn't be talking about addiction. I'm guessing he only complains about 'big government' if Cola-Cola is what is being restricted.
I don't think I like politicians to become more restrictive on leisure drugs. I'd say the opposite direction would be just right.

He made a big, bold, stupid statement and now he'll have a hell of a time ever retracting it. LOL

Nothing like demonstrating you are missing...or ignoring...the bigger picture of overall crime, useless legislation, and govt intrusion into personal lives.

And ignorance really. Pot isnt any more about addiction than drinking alcohol or eating: some people may be susceptible but most use and enjoy normally. (Not him obviously, but most people.)

If we did give Christie some weed twinkies, we might well find out if a person can overdose on marijuana.
