U.S. military trainers in Ukraine may destabilize situation: Kremlin

Except that we are not sending our troops illegally into Mexico to destabilize the Govt. What he is worried about is Russians killing Americans in the Ukraine, and he should be.

Well, we did send troops into Colombia to get the Panama Canal started, and the US troops in Mexico are only DEA, so I guess I know what you mean. Yes, we do stabilize governments all over the world, Central America to Iran and the Mideast.

Any Americans killed by Russia over there will essentially "have it coming". Russia defends against foreign invaders, US troops do the invading. Life is funny.

How could that possibly happen? There are no Russian soldiers or weapons in Ukraine. Putin said so.

US/Canadian troops are in Ukraine at the invitation of the Ukrainian government.

If US troops invaded Russia you would have a valid point. But Ukraine is not Russia.

Yes, you're right--at the moment there are no Russian troops in Ukraine.

Should the Americans keep poking the Bear, that may change suddenly.

Then there should be no problem. Unless of course, Putin is lying again like he admitted about Crimea.

There should be no problem unless the US maybe gets a bit too provocative. There should be no problem until the point is reached that Russia has decided it has had enough....

I wished you are right. But sadly you are wrong :( I am very far from that area and I am not related to any of the parties involved. I am interested in the happenings there simply because I am involved in AI and this will be a war like no other ever before in the entire human history of almost 10.000 years! For the first time my 'baby' will get involved. I am talking about the synapse board configured with 16 TheuNorth neural chips. It will be used in 'autonomous' hover drones. Now that's the nice part. The sad part is that it gets trained to hunt down and eliminate troops :( Specifically Russian troops. The ones which find themselves on Ukrainian teritory. They are not supposed to be there, therefore they are fair game. The entire thing is very secretive and hi-tech. But if it works out the way I think it would, the poor russian solders will be killed before they know what hit them. The Synapse is only as intelligent as a pigeon. But that's enough to colectively and independently find the target, identify the target, fly to the target and elliminate. For more info on TrueNorth check the Wikipedia link. I have updated the entry a month or so ago.

That's very cold of you.

We invaded Russia? I had no idea! You learn something new every day!!

Officially, there aren't. There are, however, "advisors" (reminiscent of US "advisors" in Vietnam).

Obviously, they consider Ukraine to be their back yard, if you know what I mean. I don't speak Russian, but I imagine they have something like The Monroe Doctrine.

Yes, historically that is the way it starts.

Although it is not likely, I hope that none of these people are killed.

Russia and Putin should shut the hell up, they didn't have a problem sending in Russia troops and soldiers into Ukraine and the Crimea, so they should shut up when the Ukrainians invite Americans and others to train their troops. If anyone has done anything to destabilize the region it is Putin and his Russia.

Just a Russian sympathizer it seems. Why?
