The man in charge of upholding Washington state’s integrity has been indicted - The Washington Post

A Seattle grand jury issued a 10-count indictment on Thursday of Washington State Auditor Troy X. Kelley over alleged tax evasion and other crimes.

While most of the alleged criminal conduct occurred well before Kelley took office, some took place after he was elected to state office, according to the prosecutor in the case. The stated mission of the Washington state auditor’s office is to hold the state and local governments accountable.

We elect politicians mostly based on promises (and party affiliation) so we get what we deserve. How do you propose that the WA voters could have better vetted that guy?
