You know, that really explains a lot of things.
How the US workforce can't fill all those high tech jobs, which then go to H1B visas
That the driving has gotten so shoddy, especially by younger people
The distinct lack of respect people get from these young people

Yeah, it does seem to explain a lot of things I've been noticing.

I feel like he could be a dark horse, he's the kinda guy that causes a stir, takes a decent chunk of the votes although cannot win and gets bought out for the VP nod.

If you think he doesn't have 2 dozen people in the RNC blowing smoke up his ass and telling him he has a chance to become president, you REALLY aren't paying attention to politics. People don't simply wake up one day and decide they're going to be president, other people within the party groom that person to say the right things months before they're about to even tell the public that they're thinking of running. So any question that the "party didn't put him up" is just playing semantics. Of course it did. However, it's just an effort to 'seem' more diverse and won't have any effect at the end. Rubio is a sacrificial lamb for people who matter.

He put himself up. The Republicans haven't anointed their candidate.

People should be encouraged to enter these races. Having a competitive primary field makes the candidate stronger. Just because you don't think his opinions are right (and I don't necessarily think so either) doesn't mean other people don't. I disagree with the mindset of "he shouldn't be in the race"....for anyone.
Lmao, Rubio doesn't have a prayer in hell of becoming even VP. To suggest so is absurd. Him running just prolongs the inevitable.

While I've never been an advocate of charter schools nor school voucher programs, I'm slowly starting to warm to the idea. Choice and competition, right? Give me a better choice w/the incentive - better teachers - to truly educate my child at an affordable price and I'm there.

I watched his announcement speech. He checked a lot of boxes for me. He has a beautiful family. I loved his story of immigrant parents that worked their arses off so their children could taste the American dream. My grandpa and grandma did the same thing. My grandpa came through Ellis Island at the age of 16 and ten bucks in his pocket and a trunkful of his personal belongings. Had a sponser, ended up in Ohio working for the railroad. Waited till he was 30 to marry so he could purchase a home with cash before taking a bride. Had a family and his children were all successful in their own right. His children if forced to live in Communism from where he fled, would never of had such choices.

Actually the shortage of high tech workers is a bit of a sham. Imported computer geeks work for a fraction of American workers. Many Big corporation IT depts are full of imports who are paid substantially lower wages than 'real' 'mericans.

But believe right wing talk radio all you want. Plenty of Americans are learning the important jobs skills, just expect to be paid for the effort.

The GOP struggles and a 'young' guy isn't going to make the GOP some new party of the future. The party is mired down in a distorted memory of the mommy at home, marriage between genetic men and women, suburban life and some odd concept of minorities waiting until the majority agrees on equal access and status...

Hardly leading us into the future by pretending Norman Rockwell painted the real America...

For the foreseeable future we are going to have nothing but hyper-partisanship in this country. There is so much hatred of one party against the other I cannot envision them working together.

Just look at this post in this thread

It does seem the Democrats are having difficulty finding viable candidates to run against Hillary. What's wrong with Joe Biden the VP, or have they thrown him under the bus. Hillary needs to have some competition or she is going to look like the left just coronated her Queen Hillary.

The reason for the division between the left and right should be obvious. Power. But who will use that power to best restore this country? That should be what is on each voters mind.

    Greetings, Vesper.

The MSM has successfully eliminated Biden by painting him as a bumpkin, when a current VP might be a logical choice in more normal times, IMO. Not too many "man on the street" voters even know who he is. Same with Elizabeth Warren. But everyone knows who Hillary Clinton is.

We keep up with what's going on in politics by being on sites like this - millions of other people who vote don't, because they have neither the time nor the interest. And propaganda works! :
