The opposite of bad diplomacy isn't war, it's good diplomacy.

It is good diplomacy to come to a negotiated settlement with Iran over its nuclear program.

That aside, the U.S. will end up pushing Russia and China together with this Asia pivot stuff.

After decades of US bullying in Latin America, followed by decades of US bullying in the Middle East. What's Obama think he's going to do about it?

Make no mistake, China was most certainly in mind with that proclamation.
Yep, all the while that USFP is driving Russia and China closer together. Think Russia would side with the US in the event of hostilities with China. Or that China would side with the US in event of hostilities with Russia. Both Russia and China have been clear that they will work against the uni-polar world that they see as a threat to global security.

The assumption that a "negotiated settlement" is "good" by default is probably very close to the President's understanding, and also the explanation for why the President is so awful at diplomacy.

Put a lot of arms in the region. Possibly arm South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. Actually its a U.S. foreign policy project that is beyond Obama.
