In an interview with CNNs Christiane Amanpour, US Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz (who was Kerry's right-hand man in Lausanne), gives an estimate of 6 months before sanctions are lifted.

I daresay, this is a far shorter time frame than I had envisioned. Once UN/US/EU sanctions are lifted, it will be very difficult to reimpose them in totality.

Translation of Iranian Fact Sheet on the Nuclear Negotiations

This "fact sheet" was released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry the day after (3 April 2015) the framework agreement was announced (six days ago).

It seems to me the Iranians here are saying that all sanctions will end immediately after "preparatory work" has been completed. I assume preparatory work would be items like shutting down excess centrifuges, redesigning the reactor at Arak, etc. This appears to dovetail with the 6 month estimate of Mr. Moniz.

No worries. We're almost certain to have a GOP WH next go around and I'm sure we will be bombing Iran. And if not, Netanyahu's tweekin in Israel, and he's sure to get the job done.

From what I understand, there are differences (major and minor) between the US, the Iranian, and the French fact sheets.

Doubt that. But a 3 month window in 13 years will not fly. Why are we finding out about this now? The majority want a deal that prevents a short term breakout.

Four days ago I wrote this:

Rouhani is in a difficult position. On the day the framework agreement was announced, jubilant and cheering crowds gathered all over Iran. The Iranian population of 80 million is young. 42% of Iranians are under the age of 25. Sequestration from the international community has affected them profoundly. They were madly cheering because they expect to see and experience tangible results from any nuclear agreement. They expect more job prospects, a higher standard of living, and higher wages. And if all this betterment doesn't materialize very soon, the regime is in trouble ... and could even fall. Which is why Rouhani is demanding that all sanctions end immediately once a final agreement is signed.

However, I cannot personally support any final agreement in which all nuclear-related sanctions (UN/US/EU) are terminated immediately. No P5+5 nation should even fleetingly consider such a concession. Sanctions should only be lifted in timed tranches and based on optimum performance and total compliance.
I don't think those sanctions can be terminated immediately. You gotta make sure that the Iranian government will hold to its word and that they'll honor the agreement. If they do, then we can probably slowly relax sanctions.

The Iranian people are young, are educated, have a good middle class. They are ripe for Western style democracies and societies; but their government is just a theocratic nightmare.

I think the vast majority of you need to understand something: almost nothing you hear in the media about complicated negotiations like this is going to give you the complete story. In fact, most of what you hear is just posturing or even intended to be misleading. When someone says something is non-negotiable, that is rarely the case. It is all about attempting to strengthen your side by coming up with something that you can "sell" later.

Well, Corker has enough votes to get legislation passed that BO will have be forced to have a little discussion over things with Congress. Which that was despite BO trying to fight that and was hoping Demos would cave and give him what he wants.

Look like Corker will have the override.....although I doubt he will announce it. Works better as a surprise.

And what have I said fifty times.... the deal isn't going to hold. Iran's patter is stall, stall, stall, pretend to comply, stall, throw all inspectors out, offer a new deal, break it, stall some more.
