Do you know the answer to this question? I do. Nothing. Blacks will hate whites and whites will disregard blacks. The bridge between races is too damn high in the US. According to whites, Afro-Americans do nothing to improve their situation while Afro-Americans in turn believe white people are to blame for their poverty and lawlessness.

It doesn't matter how many people get elected to the City Council, the situation in Ferguson and in the US in general is not going to change. I am not saying nothing should be done in order to overcome the problem but I do not see any possibilities to stop the war between whites and blacks. Maybe it is bad we didn't let blacks create the Republic of New Afrika. It is time to admit we are too different to live all together in one country, multicultural approach failed in the US as it failed in Germany, France and the UK.

In all seriousness, we should give the people of Ferguson what they want. Let's pull out all police from that town. With no 5-0 to disrupt their lives, they'll live peaceful and free! For 8 seconds before their houses get robbed and cars are firebombed, again.

I don't think I would go with that. The multi cultural approach is fine. But it takes more education and a stronger stomach for hard measures to break up ghettos once they exist, than we have tended to have. But if Blacks from totally different cultures can come to the US and make it, maybe you should rethink the "Multi Culture is at fault" opinion.

We'll see what kind of change it brings. There was a lot of insistence that the reason Ferguson was such a mess was because of the "systematic racism" in their government. Okay, now they have some more blacks to represent them. Let's see if things get better. I won't hold my breath.

The supposed race issue was a sham. This won't change a thing in Ferguson. People that make the argument that police are the problem just want no law enforcement. And that would be worse, as well as blamed on whites as well.

They still can't hold the council meeting in a Starbucks.

I think it's the beginning of what could be positive and significant change, but it'll take time for it to happen. It's not going to happen quickly and people are going to have to calm down and stop being reactionary.

I think it won't change anything. Thugs will remain to be thugs, and those who protested still remember the injustice of the court. Maybe they'' calm down but they'll never forget.
But your words are full of true hope, let it be so...

Won't change a thing. Kids still won't know their dads, teachers still won't have the support of parents, police will still be outnumbered 30:1 by the thugs, and the sane voices of the black community will be snuffed out as always.

You know already what's next. We've got cities like Detroit to understand it is not getting us anywhere. If all people regardless of skin color are equal what's the point of replacing white people with blacks in the city council?

I agree with on post. Let's move everyone but blacks out of Ferguson. Since its everone else's fault all the time, let's just see how wonderful it will be without the cops.
This is my take on this wonderful new ferguson. Everyone would have a new big screen tv and new 20"s on there ride, until there are no new stores to loot.
They probably don't need any help from the man, so they want us to cut out welfare and food stamps too(because they are repressed by the man) . Just think they might be right, if everyone one in ferguson is working now ,there will be no time for crime. You know maybe it is the mans fault.
