Way to CONSERVE one of your key resources, Gov Walker!

As worries grow about water pollution caused by runoff from streets, yards and farm fields, Gov. Scott Walker's next budget calls for nearly 16% in spending cuts in programs that attack the problem.

The reductions have gone virtually unnoticed until now, overshadowed by Walker's higher profile environmental initiatives to freeze land purchases and strip the Natural Resources Board of its policy-making power.Runoff is the state's most serious water pollution problem. In Green Bay, pollutants from farm fields and other sources have helped create a dead zone, an area so low in oxygen that it can't support most aquatic life.

Money doesn't grow on trees. If you think the money should have been cut elsewhere instead then suggest that to Gov. Walker. Whining here won't fix anything.

Silly, they were going to complain no matter where it was cut from.

I suppose that laying off more workers from the teachers union and SEIU to pay for that would be a possibility.
Maybe I'll send an email to Governor Walker with that idea.

Walker could always try raising taxes.

    From the link:

"Officials with the state Department of Natural Resources say attention to runoff pollution will not diminish and other funding sources could be tapped."

So it looks like the state is going to accomplish the same goal with less money. Kudos to Scott Walker

And watch even more businesses leave the state, true.

BTW, how is that working out for Cali? Oh, yeah, businesses leaving by the loads and loosing about 500K a year in population. Way to go. Sure, we should all be following the example of the most bankrupt state in the Union.
