Same as the new GOP Illinois governor Rauner.
Though to be fair, he inherited one hell of a mess.
Our local GOP rag of a paper has been ripping on him since the election--go figure.
As a retied teacher, we have the very worst public pension system in the states--due to both parties.

But the last DEM governor was sabotaged by his own party leaders for six yeas--Cullerton and Madigan--after Blago went to jail.
So far, they're both working with Rauner.
And Caterpillar just announced they will keep their global headquarters in Peoria, IL and expand---huge .

And did you actually read any of the material you posted?

California had the largest debt. It also had the largest debt for the year. Yes, it ranks about 31 for deb to gdp, but compare that to Texas, the next largest state. Which is ranked 48 and has one of the lowest dept to gdp. Funny that most of the states with the highest debt to GDP are Liberal states.

State debt per capita, California--$3,060, Texas--$1,568. How about some other liberal states. New York--$2829, New Jersey--$4217, Illinois--$2234. Walker has a state that was liberal for a long time, His debt per capita is $2144, which he is trying to lower.

We should just do away with money, private ownership of land, businesses. The State should take over EVERYTHING, that way there would be resources for EVERYTHING! No more worrying about "money" it would just get done! Just think about the gloriousness!

(the scary scary scary part is, there are far to many people out in this country, on this board who'd think the above... was a smashing good idea...)
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

Typical liberals, thinking that throwing money at an issue is the only and most effective way to solve the issue.

If other places didn't need the money, why not just cut directly from those places? I think because it's all political promises with no reality to back it up.
