(Reuters) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Iran and world powers reached a general agreement over all key aspects of a future deal to settle a dispute around Tehran's nuclear program, TASS news agency quoted him as saying in Lausanne.
"One can say with enough confidence that (foreign) ministers have reached a general agreement on all key aspects of a final settlement to this issue," he said. "It will be put down in writing over the next few hours, maybe during the day."

Little confused? Is he saying a final agreement has been reached, or is he saying that the framework for a final agreement? Will a final deal be signed tomorrow? Im a little confused..
 
This is going down to the wire. So if it's anything like those 2AM Congressional deals, everyone is wildly speculating and reports are going in three different directions.
 
lurching to some kind of understanding on a framework for a future finalized agreement....
pretty nebulous, but it gets in under the deadline
 
What they have agreed on is to keep talking even though the framework session failed to produce a mutually acceptable framework architecture.

It is how diplomats paper-over a failure.

Framework, Iran is still negotiating on how it doesn't have to open up to all inpsections, this was just to tell the supporters that a deal on how they would procceed was agreed to, so that they can continue to not agree on how they are going to agree.

Don't worry, Iran will have the bomb shortly. ;)

He was talking about a framework. His report was disputed by some of the other diplomats involved. More importantly, nearly 12 hours later, there was no report of such an agreement. For a report where things currently stand:

Its going to be difficult to reach an agreement since Irans position is to have the sanctions lifted while they continue to pursue, in secret, nuclear weapons. A deal will come once the US capitulates completely to Iranian demands.

That, sadly, is the truth in a nutshell. I can't help but think Obama likes the idea of having muslim countries equipped with nukes. It ensures that Israel won't stand a chance against them. What a bunch of nincompoops we allow to negotiate for us!

I think Obamas problem-shared by much of the left-is that the only true evil they see in the world is the Tea Party. There are domestic 'bad guys' that have to be defeated, while international 'bad guys' are really just oppressed people with legitimate grievances that need to be bargained with and mollified. That is how Indiana can be demonized while Irans truly horrific policy toward gays is ignored completely.
 
Its Iran putting out misinformation to satisfy parties looking for a solution. Its nothing but lip service.
