Religious Liberty Bill’s Future In Doubt After Hearing Canceled

Georgia had a "religious liberty" bill in the works, but now it looks like it is all but dead for this year. It is fascinating to note that, of all things, an amendment that would have ensured that this "religious liberty" bill could not be used to discriminate against LGBTs may have been one killed it. And here I was about to entertain the idea that it really was all about liberty and not legalized discrimination.

The Georgia House Judiciary Committee tabled the proposed legislation after anti-discrimination language was added to the bill which would have protected civil rights based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
