smart move by the Italian High Court. They didn't need their justice system publicly humiliated yet a second, third or fourth time. The English family ought to get a cleaner to deal with Rudy though:mrgreen:

They're not going to live this down for a while, I think. For about the next ten years, I believe that when people hear "The Italian justice system" they're going to think "Amanda Knox." And that's even taking into account our horrific attention span.

Yeah, I mean how damned many times can they actually prosecute someone for the same crime over there? They just kept overturning on appeal, then retrying, then overturning... what kind of ****ed up system does Italy have? Sheesh.

At this point I don't even care if she did it. I just never want to see her face or hear her name ever again.

I wonder if the Italians will compensate her for all the time she spent in their crappy prisons given she has now been cleared? Of course being jailed has made her rich but still. The Italians ought to pay up

The Italians will probably claim since she can make money off of book deals she should pay them for any money recieved over her income at time of improsonment.

Seriously I will never travel to that country....

Sanity prevails. Solletico was the person who was potentially going to get ****ed over by this circus though.

She is still a convicted criminal.. sadly not for murder.

Have friends who have traveled to Europe and their least favorite country was Italy. Italy has passed France in rudeness.
Not on my bucket list either.

The European Court of Human Rights will force Italy to overturn that conviction. Probably around 2020, about the same time that Guede will be freed from prison due to his thrice-shortened prison sentence.

Her book deal only paid her legal bills.

The next step is to have the European Court of Human Rights force Italy to overturn the slander conviction.

Then she will be eligible for half a million Euros as base compensation, and she will be able to sue corrupt officials for additional compensation.

If Italy does not pay enough, she can appeal again to the European Court of Human Rights for additional compensation from Italy.

I don't know. Two of Guede's sentence reductions were the direct result of the attempts to frame Amanda and Raffaele.

The Kerchers might best just accept the judgement of Karma. They can stand as a lesson to others as to why it is a bad idea to try to frame innocent people.

Is that poor wording on your part or do you think she is guilty?
