Ted Cruz going on Obamacare

Actually, as I said, I wasn't sure he didn't have Options/it "MAY have been mandatory."
Now I'm reading he Did have other Choices:

Ted Cruz, who once spent 21 hours filibustering Obamacare, may sign up for Obamacare - Vox

So, if the above is correct, and I believe it is, he could have signed up for Cobra quite easily, and unless the campaign goes unexpectedly well, he could Then have tried O'care, or Private.
O'care was just Cheaper I guess.
Is that Not a sell out of principles?

It's not a sell out. He's subjecting himself to the law that his body of government forced on the rest of us

It's not hard to criticize him... Just look at his views on climate change and the disrespect he gave to NASA members while discussing future funding.
Those are pluses

No such right exists to kill your own kid. As I said, not progress, but regression to barbarism.

And when you say "access" like most of your ilk you mean to make us all buy **** for someone else, which is also unconscionable. The consumer of such a product should be the one who buys the product.

This isn't the thread to debate abortion, as a fetus is not a kid, but again, that's another point. When I say access, I mean support for birth control under health plans or abortion clinics that are easily accessible to women without insane regulations. Viagra, anybody?

Why? How is it anyone's problem you have a pre-existing condition? It's not mine and it's not your neighbors. Deal with it.
It especially isn't the government's problem

But who till take care of these people, certainly not privatized healthcare without regulation from the government.

NASA does much more then explore space, and has made many invaluable discoveries throughout it's lifespan, space exploration is beautiful and exciting/important, NASA hardly has any funding, but what they can do with what they have is amazing. We really need to cut defense and reallocate that money to social programs and NASA/etc
Not to mention their outreach to Muslims

There are plenty of ways for them to get help, but it isn't government's responsibility to see to it

Yes, because the last system worked so well for those in poverty with pre-existing conditions.

"Kid" is a generic term. Your whining about semantics is summarily dismissed. Of course, for someone like you, when you say "fetus" you mean something worse than any racial epithet, but I don't share such bilious hate.

When I say access, I mean support for birth control under health plans

Health plans which you want the state to set up and make everyone pay for, which means you want to make me buy some random chick's pills for her.

No. If she's the one who wants to **** and she's the one who doesn't want to create kids then she can buy her own goddamn pills.

By mandating that all plans cover these, everyone's costs went up. By offering subsidies, everyone is paying for this nonsense. Obamacare is an obscenity.

abortion clinics that are easily accessible to women without insane regulations.

There is no such thing as an "insane regulation" on an abortion clinic. I for one think they require a 10,000 foot tall wall of solid gold, 9 feet thick. Anything less just wouldn't be "safe."

he didn't buy anything .....yet.

How Ted Cruz could wind up on Obamacare - The Washington Post

but it could be worse...at least he's considering abiding by the law as written and passed( if he chooses to go with the federal exchange)... most congresscritters are taking advantage of "special rules"

Thanks for pointing out that he hasn't yet purchased insurance.

As far as abiding by the law, he has the option of not purchasing any insurance and paying a penalty, which would cost him far less money than purchasing Obamacare. The law does not require him to buy a plan on the exchange.

People can get Viagra on these plans, are you ok with that? I want universal healthcare like many other countries, or at least something similar to what Switzerland has.

I mean regulations on setting back when women can get abortions, telling them to watch videos, etc.. Abortion is an issue of women's health, I'd rather have my taxes go to healthcare for all then defense spending, but that's just me..

It worked well until government got involved

Oh, so he shouldn't use the exchange. Why? Because he wants to replace it? That's just silly if you ask me.

According to those on the right, including Mr Cruz, the exchange is an example of the govt taking from some people to subsidize others. It is a form of theft.

So Cruz should refrain from participating in it.

I'd prefer the government not determine what's on my insurance plan at all.

I certainly don't need an insurance plan that covers maternity or birth control pills.

And no, a woman certainly doesn't need to be paying for penis drugs.

I want universal healthcare like many other countries, or at least something similar to what Switzerland has.

So like I said, you want a strong central authority taking property from the lowly peasants for no reason but to disperse it on a whim. Regression and barbarism.

That's obviously what's happening in Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Canada, to an extent, etc... Come on, this is paranoia at its finest. Birth control is important, and maternity is EXTREMELY important, we should care about woman.
