Do you think Lubitz preferring an eight minutes slow death journey or to have a quick death as a real suicider should do? He had no reaction to any interruption - knocking at door, scream of passengers..... He had steady breathing all the time - He was in deep sleep.

If they could install a sleep device in cockpit, what else they couldn't do? Remember they even could control the whole plane in MH370 by uninterruptible auto-pilot system, let alone a cabinet door.
Depending on which way it's wired, I'd either take that tin foil hat off or put it on

One problem with the Deep Sleep theory for GermanWings 9525 is that the descent took 8 to 10 Minutes. The cockpit door only locks for 5 Minutes, then the lock is released. Lubitz had to push the Lock Switch at least twice during the 10 Minute interval after the Captain left. So Lubitz could not have been in a deep sleep for 8 minutes.

From how far away, and through what walls or obstructions can the Sleep Wave penetrate?

How did Andreas Lubitz get the nick name "Tomato Andy" as a Flight Attendant?

Were any of the Flight Attendants on board, who had worked as a flight attendant, with Tomato Andy?

Andreas could have turned off the transponder, before changing the altitude setting, but he left he transponder on. This gave Andreas more time before the Air Traffic Controllers would suspect a problem. Andreas could have changed the heading of the airliner, but he left the heading toward Dusseldorf. This also gave him more time, before Air Traffic controllers would be thinking something was wrong.

Theoretically, The cockpit door could have jammed in the closed position, and Andreas could have intended to reset the plane's altitude setting before getting too low. Maybe Andy was not fully committed to suicide, when he first pushed the cockpit door lock button, and reset the altitude.

But once the captain was knocking on the door, and the plane was descending, Andy probably knew he was fired. That was probably the point of no return.

Did Andy have plans to incapacitate the Captain, if the Captain were to enter the cockpit? What could Andy have used from the cockpit to dispatch the Captain? Had Andy brought a knife on board? A Plastic Box Cutter? What martial arts training did Andy have?

Maybe the Captain should have recruited some passengers to subdue Andy, and pull Andy out of the cockpit, before the Captain tried to enter the cockpit.

What suicide prevention training did the Captain or crew have? Nothing I have read in the news indicates that the Captain, or any other crew members knew they had a suicide on their hands, or tried intervention. Did the Air Traffic Controllers have any training in suicide prevention? Did any Air Traffic Controllers attempt any talking down for Andy?

News reports keep talking about possible revelations form the FDR, Flight Data Recorder. The plane was functioning perfectly. The FDR will not show anything of value, that I can think of. It would be surprising if Andreas had set the flaps, at the lower altitude, to slow the speed of impact.

This is one scenario where it would have been handy to have a parachute, and be able to deplane.

Your theory doesn't work. If Lubitz was seeking suicide, the best way for him was to dive the plane for a quick death. Do you think he enjoyed a slow eight minutes death with the pleasure to push the lock switch?

Sleep wave has field effect if you read my article. I wrot it 13 years ago.

The Airbus 320 is a fly-by-wire airplane. There is no direct control of the elevators, to push the plane into a dive. The elevator is controlled by computer programs. The fastest "Dive" had to take 8 minutes from 38,000 feet.

Could a passenger have snuck into the cockpit, while the Captain was in the bathroom? Could the intruder have rendered Lubitz unconscious, while the intruder reprogrammed the airliner for a crash?

    Deep sleep?

He locked the door, set the autopilot to crash the plane and put on the oxygen mask and then fell asleep? And the captain is smashing at the door with a crowbar and the plane is screaming at him to 'pull up'...and he is asleep through ALL that?

I SEVERELY doubt he was sleeping - he was just insane and insane people tend to be very calm even while doing the most 'insane' things that most of us would find horrific.

Re: Germanwings Airbus A320 crashes in French Alps with 150 people on board: latest

This version of the final moments of the Germanwings flight is confirmed by another element we recently obtained: the information from the “Cockpit Voice Recorder,” one of the A320’s two black boxes. This one recorded the sounds and conversations in the cockpit. Its contents were described in detail by a special investigator. Here is his account.
    10:00 am
    The airplane takes off.
    10:10
The Captain says to Lubitz: “I didn’t have time to use the bathroom before taking off.” Lubitz: “Go whenever you’d like.”
    10:27
The plane has reached cruising altitude: 38000 feet (11.500 meters)
The captain asks Lubitz to prepare the approach for landing and to verify that the plane can begin the landing process. Lubitz obeys. He repeats to the captain again: “You can go. You can go now.”
    10:28
Noise can be heard coming from a seat: the captain removes his seatbelt. The door is opened. The captain says to Lubitz: “You are in control now.”
Lubitz answers with a seemingly light tone of voice: “I hope so.”
    10:30
Lubitz is alone in the cockpit. He locks the armored door with the “Lock” button: it is no longer possible to open the door from the outside. The one can hear the sounds of the automatic pilot being reprogrammed to accelerate the descent, pushing the plane from 38,000 feet (11.000 meters) to 100 feet (30 meters) in a matter of minutes.
    10:33
The landing begins: the plane drops 3000 feet (900 meters) per minute. Air traffic controllers detect the problem. They try several times to contact the airplane by radio. Lubitz does not respond.
The captain’s voice can be heard as he tries to open the door: “It’s me!” The captain is facing a camera connected to the cockpit: Lubitz sees him on screen but does not react. The captain grabs an oxygen tank or fire extinguisher in order to break down the door.No response from Lubitz. The captain yells: “For the love of God, open this door!”
    10:34 approximately
A first alarm goes off, audible and visual: “SINK RATE, PULL UP.”
    No reaction from Lubitz.
Through the cockpit door, the first sounds of passengers running in the aisles can be heard.
    10:35
The captain asks for the crowbar hidden in the back of the plane. Louder bangs can be heard hitting the door, followed by metallic sounds. The captain tries to bend the door with the crowbar.
    10:37 and several seconds
A second alarm is set off, audible and visual: “TERRAIN, PULL UP.” Still no reaction from Lubitz.
The captain yells: “Open this f… door!”
    10:38
Despite the deafening noises, Lubitz’s breathing can cleary be heard through an oxygen mask he put on. He is breathing normally. The plane is at 13000 feet (4000 meters).
    10:40
A violent sound can be heard outside. At the same time, inside, screaming. The Airbus hits the mountain with its right wing.
No other sound, save for the alarms and the screaming passengers.
    10:41
The airplane hits the Estrop mountain range at 5000 feet (1500 meters) at 800 km/h.

"All evidence indicates that the copilot of Airbus machine in his six-months break during his training as a pilot in Germanwings, converted to Islam and subsequently either by the order of “radical”, ie. devout Muslims...
Why so quick to blame it on Muslims? Apart from the reason that that's the continuous spew of propaganda from Fox so-called news, etc.

"As Europol, the European Union’s law-enforcement agency, noted in its report released last year, the vast majority of terror attacks in Europe were perpetrated by separatist groups. For example, in 2013, there were 152 terror attacks in Europe. Only two of them were “religiously motivated,” while 84 were predicated upon ethno-nationalist or separatist beliefs."

Why has there been no follow up on the reports of fighter jets in the vicinity? In fact these reports have been buried.

"Witnesses have described hearing an explosion 'like the sound of dynamite' then seeing fighter jets fly past, suggesting the passenger plane had been under military escort"

This whole thing stinks of a black op.

In instances of attacks where more people are injured or killed, it is usually Muslims. Muslims contribute to the more spectacular attacks, for purposes of wider impact terrorism.

The passengers, crew and Captain did not respond to Lubitz as a depressed, suicidal person. They were more responding to Lubitz as a purposeful terrorist.

Perhaps the news of the Paris Terrorist attacks were fresh in their minds.
