This is what Obama said just a few months ago.

"This counterterrorism campaign will be waged through a steady, relentless effort to take out [the Islamic State] wherever they exist, using our air power and our support for partner forces on the ground. This strategy of taking out terrorists who threaten us, while supporting partners on the front lines, is one that we have successfully pursued in Yemen and Somalia for years"

It's not that Obama is just the most stupid president in US History, he is quite likely the stupidest leader of any democracy in world history. This man has blood all over his hands.
The decision not to lend Hadi support and stay 'above the fray' has proven disastrous. But like every other foreign policy mistake of the past seven years we'll never see a reversal just more doubling down.

Nah.....actually the Saud have heard the Repubs for years talk about border security.

Well they have complained to the UN.....I doubt they will or can do anything about it. Also they might not like the numbers and that the Shia hold 1/3rd of the population. Equaling the 2/3rd Sunni population in might. In order for the Saud to try and take Yemen. They would need the Shia to be reduced to about an 1/8th of the population. Then they could actually win a conflict.

Are you in a state of panic because ISIS put the names of 100 American service men and women on the Internet and said people should kill them? These are names ISIS got from social media. Did you panic when Hanoi Hannah did essentially the same thing?

You understand asymmetric warfare. You are also an old fart. You'd probably go as long as the army promised scheduled naps.

Nah not me RT .....its the MS media panicking now. They're the ones that pushed this up to the Top Trending. Day it came out it wasn't such a big concern. But you know how it is too. There are many that have become older and all they could do is, Wish they were younger to do what needs to be done.

I think we should respond back.....start selling decks of cards with some of these Terrorist leaders and generals faces on those Club cards. Put out those Bounty Hunter Want Ads.

Cmon now, I get my 4 and half in. I don't need naps. Now my own Jeep or new fangled contraption that can get me around, you know I can't resist that!

So what you are saying is you think Obama was lying to the American people when he claimed his policies were a success in Yemen?

We had SF and drones in Yemen, and they did a good job of preventing AQAP from becoming like al-Qaeda pre-9/11. And Yemen is not yet a lost cause: I anticipate that if the Houthis are not serious about a unity government, which I doubt they are, the Saudis will come in and wipe away the Iranian encroachment on their border.

Well it wont be the Saud alone. Even they say so.

Saudi Arabia: Arabs will take action over Yemen if peace efforts fail.....

RIYADH (Reuters) - Arab countries will take necessary measures to protect the region against "aggression" by Yemen's Iranian-allied Houthi group if a peaceful solution cannot be found to that country's turmoil, Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal said on Monday.

Asked if Riyadh might offer military aid to Hadi, whom it recognizes as Yemen's legitimate ruler, Prince Saud said: "Certainly, countries in the region and the Arab world will take the necessary measures to protect the region from aggression."

Earlier, in Cairo, Riyadh Yaseen, named by Hadi as his interim foreign minister, called for Gulf Arab military intervention in Yemen, and notably the imposition of a no-fly zone, to stop territorial advances by Houthi fighters.....snip~

From the 23 March 2015 Nightwatch OSINT product:

Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi asked the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to intervene militarily against the Houthi rebels, according to Hadi's Foreign Minister Riad Yassin.

In a press interview, Yassin warned, "Yemeni authorities are working with the Gulf Cooperation Council and the UN Security Council to put an end to the Houthi expansion." He said that President Hadi asked the United Nations and the GCC's Peninsula Shield Force to "intervene to face the Houthis."

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Saudi al-Faisal said, "The Houthi coup threatens the security and stability of Yemen, the region and the world….If the Houthi coup does not end peacefully, we will take the necessary measures for this crisis to protect the region."

According to press commentary, the Gulf Cooperation Council - Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Bahrain - warned earlier this year that they would act to protect the Arabian Peninsula's security and described the Houthi takeover of parts of Yemen as a "terrorist" act.

Comment: The Peninsula Shield Force intervened in Bahrain to put down civilian demonstrations. It is not known to have tested its capabilities against armed opponents. This force is not likely to be used in Yemen.

Hadi's appeal for intervention by the GCC is an admission that his regime will not survive without outside military help. However, there does not appear to be enough time for outside intervention to make a difference
