The problem is, what you do and your claims that your action is benevolent, will assist, promotes. If, by doing something that you claim will do those things, you remove freedoms, prey on those you don't like, punish those who don't do what you think they should, then you are doing more harm than good.
I didn't say anything about preying or punishing. Funny that assistance, promotion and benevolence translate into darkness for you. Such is the conservative mindset.

And then get back on topic.
Good to see you corrected your error. Conservatives here are blaming the democrats for companies holding onto their money. But the world looks as close to another world war as it ever has in the last 70 years.

You're a Lib for a reason, so I wouldn't expect you to understand anything beyond empty talking points and bumper sticker slogans.

The DOWs #s are in no way connected to the economy.

Thanks to QE and ZIRP investors have been pushed out of fixed rate investments and into the equities markets.

If the economy was as good as you libs say it was Corporations wouldn't be hoarding their capital and the FED wouldn't be hoarding Trillions in excess reserves.

Tried and true historically proven approaches a la Keynesian economics- the policies that Democrats have used in the USA to mop up GOP messes since 1933........read Piketty's Capital in the 21st Century.....spot-on...most important book thus far in the 21st century...
The problem with predatory capitalism is that eventually, the capitalist runs out of people and planet to exploit.

If you condone telling people what to spend their own money on and then fining them if they don't, that is punishing people for not doing what you think they should do. If you condone telling corporations to spend their own money on what you think they should spend their money on and then fine them for not doing it, that is punishing them. If you tell the wealthy to do something just because they have more money than the poor, you are preying on the wealthy.

It doesn't matter if you think doing all these things result in your "good" things...benevolence, assistance, promotion. Unlike the typical liberal mindset, the ends do NOT justify the means.

it should come as no surprise that predatory capitalists are hoarding cash.....anymore than the sun rises in the east.....they spend it freely on efforts to obstruct economic, social and political justice which means essentially that they support the Republican party....who are indeed the "Handmaidens of the Boardroom" ... Thus as it's ever been .

What is interesting here is the party who controls congress seems to get the most money from wall street.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.
