Vendor banned from gun show after selling offensive target

Well, we know those things exist in a vacuum right? :) No origin, no cause, no reason.

No end, don't forget, no end...

Horse****. Nobody is suggesting you don't have the right to sell racist gun targets.

What you don't seem to understand is that the rest of us have the First Amendment Right to call that vendor a racist ****head and kick him out of our gun show and refuse to buy things from him ever again.
The right to remove a vendor from a show doesn't come from the first amendment, is not a right the general public has, is not a right you personally have, and you weren't even there when it happened.

Please contain your hyperbole.

No violation of a first amendment right, the guy just offended the sensibilities of the people running the gun show. He was asked to leave just like any unruly customer or a vendor that did not comply with the gun show rules.

If I do or say something that "offends" you. And you turn around and deny me, without reimbursement, my sales spot. You are infringing on my 1A rights.
Just what are the written outlined rules for sellers? Do you have a copy? Care to post it? Or are you just another progressive that finds glee in being offended.

You still sound offended.

Talk about holding a grudge!!

Yes, you'll see that in America, and right here on this board. And they don't get infracted or banned for it.

why should they be infracted or banned ?

as to the topic, i have no problem with the vendor being removed by the operators of the show.... he's free to sell his racist bull**** out on his own.

Incorrect. The 1st amendment protects political speech. It does not give you the right to say what you want, whenever you want, where ever you want. A private enterprise has the right to conduct itself in whatever matter it seems fit, including restricting speech. As a matter of illustration, if you are using foul language in a public forum, particularly a public place that is privately owned, you can be asked to leave.

Whether or not the show promoter needs to reimburse the vendor is a matter of contract, but there is no 1st amendment issue here.

I'm not a lawyer, but it doesn't take a lawyer to recognize that the infringement would clearly be a contractual one, not constitutional, which you acknowledge by referring to the "rules for sellers." If the vendor has an (imaginary) 1A right to sell racist garbage at a private gun show, the contract/"written outlined rules for sellers" are not enforceable/moot.

Exactly - didn't see your post, before I made mine, but this is better worded!

So you have a copy of the sellers agreement with the show promoters?

Not germane to the conversation. You are telling us this is a matter of 1st amendment rights. It is not.

I believe it may be. You a lawyer? You see the sellers contract with the promoters? Or you just think its ok because blacks were offended.

We'll we agree on the later. To the former, I'll postpone response.

Ahh the old "false flag" tinfoil hat option. Classic!

I am not saying the guy selling the racist targets is a plant by anti-2nd amendment trash. It seems odd that a gun show removing a vendor seeing racist target is somehow news.
