Netanyahu poised for 3rd straight term Israel PM after rival concedes[W:350:384]

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

Im not so narcissistic as to think an outside influence (the US) is going to solve this conflict. Its just not going to happen.

Frankly, after the last few administrations, I would say it would be better if the USA stood down. Especially in the last six years and the rapid growth of terrorism, maybe's it's time to what I used to call "LTSF", let the system fail and let nature take it's course; from out of control hockey games when the zebras put their whistles away, to when the new television news producer is facing so much resistance and mistakes he simply let's go and watches everyone self destruct.

"Oh no!" They cry "There will be war, people will die!"

What the **** do you mean "will"? They are dying, both sides and it's getting worse.

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

Are you referring to the 47 signers of that Iranian letter that sides with their hardliner's? If so, I agree.

lol more hardliner than the Ayatollah? Freaking spare us the nonsense.

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

You said

OBAMA interfered with an Israeli election, he sent one of his campaign managers TO ISRAEL to defeat Netanyahu.
At the SAME TIME, lefties cried that Bibi coming here to speak to congress was interfering with our domestic issues.

And why? BECAUSE of blind support for a democrat President.

The argument has zero credibility and is indeed ironic.
Ignoring for a moment Obama didn't send anyone anywhere (unless you think people who no longer work for Obama still allow Obama to dictate everything they do or where they can go), when have I ever condoned any foreign politician interfering with a domestic election? I haven't. Thus, there's no irony.

Like I assumed, you were just using your own definition of irony, regardless of facts.
you said:
i asked:
To which I now reply: Whatever a person felt was worthy of criticism. But the idea we simply cannot criticize anything Israel without being considered anti-Israel is utterly absurd. And the fact those most likely to castigate those people as anti-Israel seem to be the first to launch vicious attacks at our own President.

If criticizing an Israeli leader makes on anti-Israel (as so many conservatives seem to be claiming these days), then criticizing our American leader makes them anti-America, by their very same logic. You cannot have it both ways, and those who want it both ways are little more than partisan hacks.

And what would inform that criticism?

All sorts of things could qualify.

I feel like you're missing the point, bogging down into irrelevant questions.

What goes into your own choices for what you criticize? Do you have criteria? What is your criteria?

Re: Netanyahu poised for third straight term as Israel PM after chief rival concedes

Yes, well I figured you couldn't actually document anything.

how many pages you want?.. I knew you had no idea on the subject..

Your posts aree the most transparent Obama gruel in DP history... the funny part is that you think you are fooling anyone with your wordsmithing gymnastics

Obama is drireclty behind the attempted ouster of a sitting PM from our closest ally in the ME

Stop being coy. I don't need pages. Just give me a couple examples of why he annoys you so, and of him being anti Semitic.

It depends on a number of factors. None of which matter in the context of the discussion about whether it is or is not okay to criticize a foreign leader.

Stay focused, please.

I'm not even talking about Obama, I'm talking about people who loudly and rudely bash our leader while forbidding the criticism of a foreign leader. Why are you so in love with Obama?

It's not hard to read what I'm actually saying, I'd appreciate it if you'd try it.

And as it has been proven, the US has interfered with Israeli elections since at least the George HW Bush administration. You are the transparent partisan. Now, do you want the US out of Israeli politics, or do you just want the Democratic Party out of them??

I know plenty about him. I'm just trying to get from you a shred of evidence that he's anti Semitic, but I can see you'll not put anything up.

Turkey's Erdogan accuses rivals of working with Mossad
By Haaretz | Jan. 31, 2015 | 5:19 PM | 2 Catastrophes provide governments with an opportunity to present themselves as true leaders during a crisis. Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan missed this opportunity in handling Soma's coalmine disaster that led to more than 300 deaths. He downplayed the tragedy and insulted protesters, victims, and their families. And now a pro-Erdogan Islamist newspaper has directly accused the Jewish-controlled media and Israel of responsibility for the tragedy.

One of his insults (“Why are you running away, spawn of Israel?”) against his fellow countrymen was a clear anti-Semitic slur. This was not a coincidental but rather symptomatic of Erdogan's views. Instead of tackling the problems, Jews or Israel are blamed. Despite some lip-service to international audiences the Erdoğan government not only tolerates but actively endorses anti-Semitism. A closer look shows that the anti-Semitic incidents of recent years are deeply rooted in the current AKP government and Erdoğan's personality; they also have increasing resonance in the wider Turkish society.

Openly anti-Semitic hate propaganda is frequently published in the Turkish media, most prominently by the Islamist newspapers Yeni Akit and Millî Gazete. Journalists of both papers are part of Erdoğan's regular journalistic entourage. Instead of condemning their Holocaust denial and incitement to hatred of Jews, the Turkish PM has become known for his own anti-Semitism. Instead of fighting corruption, the Erdoğan government disseminates conspiracy theories and hatred against minorities.

...

If you could answer the question you'd realize it does matter and it is in context.
Maybe you aren't even aware of it yourself.
Have you ever thought about what you choose to criticize & why?
Maybe you should do some self-reflection.

I think we know you are missing the point or just flat out on the wrong side of most subjects

Oh, I'm definitely aware of why I feel the way I do and why I criticize the way I do. The problem is how I feel is completely unrelated to the point I was making. You keep asking questions about me, but how I choose to support or not support is irrelevant to the fact that those who think criticizing Israeli leaders means someone is anti-Israel must surely believe those who criticize our President means they are anti-America.

I'm not sure why you're struggling so much to understand the ridiculousness of people who think Israel cannot be criticized.

I think it's cute you try so hard. One of these days, perhaps, you'll take the time to read what you are choosing to respond to and then you'll make so much more sense.

You keep plucking away, little engine that could. You'll get over that hill someday.
