Man o man ... the Left is taking the Israeli election as bad as they took our own last November.

    ahem....

    There you go again....

Where in ANY of the discourse over Obama's **** up in this, has anyone even mentioned the "office" of either person?

Get a grip please, the issue is not the perception of the office of any country, but rather truthful comments about the inexperience of of your third-rate anti-Israeli community organizer trying to roll with the big boys and constantly coming out the loser.

    Sure.
Netanyahu is fighting for the survival of his Country and Obama is trying to fundamentally change his.

    Right here:

Some of the reaction in this country led by the rhetoric of the current occupant in the WH shows just how anti Israel many in this country are. Israel is the best Ally the U.S. has in the Region and the country closest to being a democracy yet Obama and his Administration continue to show their incompetence as well as true colors.
According to this poster, it's not okay to criticize Israel, but it is okay to criticize the President.

Get a grip please, the issue is not the perception of the office of any country, but rather truthful comments about the inexperience of of your third-rate anti-Israeli community organizer trying to roll with the big boys and constantly coming out the loser.
    Again, I'll ask.

If criticizing Israel and its leaders makes someone "anti-Israel", does criticizing the President make someone anti-American?

By the way, I think it's hilarious the mental gymnastics some people are doing to justify their hatred of the President of the United States.

So? Ignoring for a moment the useless rhetoric in your post, what does any of that have to do with anything? We can't criticize any leader who is trying to fight for the survival of his country? Does this mean we're not allowed to criticize Syria's Bashar Al-Assad or North Korea's Kim Jong-Un?

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just trying to understand the parameters here because they aren't making much sense.

Unusual comment. You are comparing esteem for a group of leaders with esteem for an office. Offices do not deserve esteem, people who have earned esteem do. I can't speak for the person to whom you responded but I have esteem for Netanyahu and none for Obama. Is it not possible for a particular non American to deserve more esteem than a particular American?

I'm serious about this ... have you taken a good look at Obama lately?
He doesn't look well at all.
    Looks really especially gaunt.

I'm just trying to figure out why you hold the position of Israeli PM to be beyond the ability of Americans to criticize, even as you routinely criticize the leader of the United States. Why is it not okay to criticize the leaders of Israel, but it is okay to spew venom towards our own President? Too many people show absolutely no respect for our leader, even as they castigate others for daring to show an ounce of disagreement with Israel's leader.

So why is being the PM of Israel so much better than being the President of the United States? Because, to me, it sounds pretty un-American to show far greater support to a foreign leader than to your own.
Israel receives incredible amounts of financial aid (~$3.15 billion annually) from the United States, with little or no strings attached. They aren't being ignored at all.

So I can only assume the problem is with the criticism of the leaders of Israel. So, once again, why is it not okay to criticize a foreign leader but okay to mock and ridicule our own President?
That doesn't make any sense. Could you, perhaps, try actually reading what I wrote before you respond? Thanks.

No one has ever said it is not OK to criticize Israel.

It is NOT OK to have a president of the United States wage a dis-information campaign against an ally. It is NOT OK for a president to forward dangerous policies toward an ally. It is not OK to play nice with an ally's sworn enemies and enable them to go nuke. It is not OK for a United States president to mess with the domestic politics of an ally and try to demean him on the world stage.

It is NOT OK for a United States president to throw a childish temper tantrum because Netantyahu accepted an invitation to speak issued by Democrats and Republicans alike, and try to undermine the personal character of a world leader....when that world leader has spoken to congress twice in the past with not even a whimper.

Israel receives aid along with Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, and apparently some terrorist groups as well. That aid is voted on by congress. Just because the US tries to buy friends doesn't mean everyone sells out
