I cannot show you that other than the financial and military aid we have given them. And lets keep it that way.

I have no doubt ISIS could be effectively wiped out in a week. But would that simply cause a new version to spring up when hatred across the middle east finds new bodies to inhabit? If the arab muslim nations want to do it - more power to them. But it has to come from them.

So your point about blood is moot. Now, answer the question concerning the exact reason Obama is negotiating with Iran over nuclear development. You keep avoiding it for some strange reason.

I'm trying to understand this US obsession with Israel and why its by far the largest beneficiary of US foreign aid when its not actually a third world country in need of it.

No - my worries about getting involved in something that spirals out of control are very real and not at all moot.

You confuse me with Obama.I am not him and do not answer for him.

Your comment about Americans dying in defense of Israel was incredibly wrong. What you worry about is your problem and not necessarily grounded in reality.

So you have no idea why this country is negotiating with Iran over nuclear development, but you have fears concerning the outcome of those negotiations. Can you describe your fears - besides the already unfounded one you've mentioned.

Terrific - I will be honest and tell you my fears and I do not care what they are grounded in other than my own feelings.

There are things I know a great deal about. Our foreign policy with Israel is NOT one of them so you have me at a disadvantage. I freely admit that.

I am not posting here as any authority on the subject - only as a concerned American who does not want his nation to get involved in fighting another nations battles.

My suspicion - based only on the news and what I read - is that Bibi was a right winger who is not willing to make peace with the Palestinians and other nations and instead holds the hard line. That is my impression. And we as his top ally and military power just might be the one to save his ass should his mouth overload his ability to deliver.

    That is my fear.

Ah, so even though you admit you're not really up on things there, you're concerned because Bibi is a "right winger" who doesn't want to make peace with the people who as recently as last year launched an unprovoked missile attack on his country. How dare he not want to make peace with them. Israel gave them the land they launched the attacks from, BTW. Yes, Israel took it from them the last time an attack originated from that region. What more would you like for that "right winger" to do? There's been no change in the leadership within the Palestinians, and they continue to vow the destruction of Israel as their objective. What should Israel do? And we aren't involved in fighting Israel's battles - that has already been established - so what should the Israelis do?

I gave you my thoughts that you asked for.

I think what you have to understand is Israel is just one small country, maybe a little bigger than New Jersey or something and somehow, they got the power of a country the size of America and the only real reasons are for religious and location reasons, something most of our other allies don't share. With that, you have to understand that in order to get the entire region to play nice, you can't just play nice with one country you have to get them all to play nice right?

In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy." -Reagan
