Good afternoon old chap. I do hope you are faring well.

Yes, they were commitments made prior, however, the fact of the matter is that while there is antagonism between Obama and Netanyahu on a personal level, the relationship between Israel and the US has not changed in the slightest. The US will still continue to give diplomatic, military, intelligence, and economic support to Israel. So, I don't get as to why so many people are saying that Obama has drastically changed the US relationship with Israel.

He allowed the relationship to deteriorate over his personal agenda and desperation to get a deal, as he thinks this will mark him down in History.

That's not to say the US still wont be doing Business with Israel.

Did you read the quotes of his I posted earlier in this thread? He has said, in writing, that Israel should be annihilated.
It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.

Whats really going on here ?

    gee..

    let's see...

Netanyahu gets invited to speak to a joint session of congress.

Obama goes ape **** and sends his aides to destroy his reputation, and his loyal stupid voters pick up the meme and attack Netyanhu, even calling a twice wounded and decorated war hero a "coward" in an aggressive White House backed propaganda campaign.

THEN, the president of the United States lets it be known he is trying to affect the outcome of elections in a sovereign state......and loses!

Why would anyone have the slightest interest in Israel's election? ****ing beyond me...maybe its because Hillary and her antics are the only other news, and that is even more depressing for the "stupid voters" as it has a decade of consequences

    1. Death to America. Apparently it's a tradition to chant it after leading Friday Prayers.
    2. Death to Israel - annihilate them, etc. so on and so forth.
    3. The usual human rights abuses, etc. so on and so forth.
    4. Handpicked and then helped steal an election for Ahmadenijad
    5. Just helped put into place a new leader of the Council of Experts who will choose his replacement - the guy is from the same nuttery-hardliner school as ole A-Jad is.
    6. Just had Rafsanjani (the "moderate" who is still an actual hardliner, but who is at least less openly psychotically apocalyptically hostile)'s son thrown into prison for Crimes Against The Regime... which basically boiled down to protesting #4 in order to effectively sideline Rafsanjani and ensure that the rest of the hardliners maintain their dominance in the Majlis.

He's not "openly supportive of the talks", he's "supportive of delaying western intervention until he can create a nuclear fact on the ground."

So lets for arguments sake replace Israel with a country of similar sized population like Norway for instance . Would this even warrant a mention at all in the US ? Why this ever increasing US obsession with all things Israeli ?

Huh? Support for talks or lack of that support is what determines whether or not the Ayatollah is a hardliner? Now you are just making stuff up.

    Norway?

You want to go to Norway?

Let's see.....has the prime minister of Norway been invited to speak to congress?

Is there a significant Norwegian population in the US as there are Jews?

Has the president sent out junior aides to attack the integrity of the prime minister of Norway?

And, does Norway have a close relationship with the US, so much so that Norway is an election issue every four years?

Let me know when there is a yes to any of the above, in the meantime quit playing straw man....

man what you're doing isn't even debate, it's just plain ugly ego covering

Israel doesn't have a President. Your belief that Republicans do no wrong notwithstanding.
