White House office to delete its FOIA regulations[W:84]

Re: White House office to delete its FOIA regulations

You are claiming that the story isn't being reported by the "Biased Lame Stream Media" when it was a mainstream source that reported it. So now you're just complaining that it's not getting as much coverage as you'd like and that, in and of itself, is "bias."

No, it's an example of media bias such that screw ups by Democrats are under reported, and screw ups by Republicans or conservatives are over reported. It's all in the hands of the editors, and the editors, while claiming to be unbiased, are hardly that. Just look at their backgrounds, taken from the pool of senior journalists, which are vastly liberal / progressive.

Re: White House office to delete its FOIA regulations

Well, I haven't tried to justify any wrongs by anyone, so bark up another tree.

You really don't think quoting out of context to demonize one administration and leaving out the previous one, who did the SAME THING, is a little disingenuous?

My my...Awfully touchy, and defensive my friend...Actually, I was making the observation of even bringing up a comparison of the previous administration could be argued that is exactly what you were doing, if not by anything else than by inference....That, coupled with the worn "out of context" distraction often used by liberal defenders of this administrations wrong doings IMHO, is what is disingenuous.

Why don't we talk about why it is that the "most transparent administration in history" would seek to exempt themselves from FOIA? Want to get into that, being it is the what the thread is about and all....

Thanks...

By making themselves exempt they prove they are the most open and accountable..

"see, we don't need no stginkin' FOIA, 'cause we are so open and accountable."

White House office to delete its FOIA regulations

The MOST transparent administration in the history of the Universe!!!!!

No, more like a bunch of sniveling narcassists who think they are above the law. The Obama admin has just set the legal precedent as to how future admins can act,.....I can't wait to hear the liberal and MSMedia whining when a Republican admin does the same thing. F* em.

For starters, you can stop using "most transparent administration" as a cudgel. Even Obama's most ardent defenders (which despite what the hacks claim, I am decidely NOT) realize and admit that the "transparency" line was a pantload.

Secondly, totally ripping the valid and relevant Bush reference from the quote gives the impression that this all started with Obama when, in fact, it's been SOP for at least 2 1/2 election cycles. The intent is clear -- blame Dems, absolve Republicans.

The idea that blatantly quoting an article out of context is a "worn out distraction" is proof positive to me that GOP partisans only care about sticking it to Obama. The fact that your guy did it too doesn't matter at all. And when the next GOP president does it too, you won't care then either.

Did you read the article? This started with the Bush administration, not the Obama administration.

Ah, who am I kidding. You don't care. No GOP water carrier does.

I never claimed you were a hack, but a proud defender of your own ideology, and the man that now sits at the seat of leadership in this country which you defend even when indefensible....That is not hackery in my opinion Kobie, that is what you believe, there is honor in that. Even if in many cases it would seem you choose to not see that in others that disagree with your beliefs. If you truly believe what you say about Obama's promise of being the most transparent, then why even bring up that other administrations have also lied to the people...We the people know that, and it reflects in not only the participation rate in elections, but in approval ratings in our representatives in DC. Nah, it is grasping, at least I think so.

Secondly, totally ripping the valid and relevant Bush reference from the quote gives the impression that this all started with Obama when, in fact, it's been SOP for at least 2 1/2 election cycles. The intent is clear -- blame Dems, absolve Republicans.

What exactly do you hope to get through with meme of consistent looking back to find comparable instances to bring up in the face of lies, corruption, cronyism, and pure crap leadership in DC? is it really the fundamental understanding that politicians lie, and consider themselves elite? Or is it some puerile tact in placing blame elsewhere? You know which one I think it is....

You search not for a discussion about both sides of the political spectrum engaging in hypocrisy, that is well known, and really boring as an argument, because among the rational people is agreement in that. So, then like I say, there is but one reason that the current administration, (or any administration if it makes you happy) would continually bring up others in defense of their own transgressions against the people, and that is to absolve themselves, and sooth their own consciences for what they know is a wrong they are but they and you will find no solace from me, because I don't dabble in 'they did it too' arguments, or at least I try not to, rather in this thread would like to focus on the thread rather than the Bush administration, or any other....That you refuse to come back to the topic, is telling.

have a nice day old friend.
