How can you be so versed in the art of deflection not understand that it is a form of defense? I think you know and are just playing dumb.

Pointing out that the article was quoted out of context is defending the policy? Sadly, you're wrong. Again.

What is this? F&L is extremely well versed in both Canadian and American politics. In fact I often find our Canadian forumites (there are several here) to be more up to date than many of our American members, especially the liberal side.

Also, its not very tolerant of you to blanket smear another nation (and our ally, though I know you dont care about that), you are getting downright rude, man. Control yourself.

He knows. I have asked him to discuss issues substantively but it does not happen.

He does? I would have to disagree, as I don't think he knows much at all.

The quote was not out of context. The OP topic was that the Obama administration is removing the FOIA regulations that have been in place for 30 years, that is what the highlight said.

You decided that the context should include "b-b-but Boooosh!", deflecting the conversation away from the very real truth that it is the Obama administration that is wholly exempting itself from FOIA.

    Good morning, MMC.

This latest news should alarm everyone - no matter what side of the aisle you're on! We are paying their salaries, and they are accountable to us, no matter how they feel about it. Politicians in particular should never be allowed to do exactly what they wish with no explanation, human nature being what it is. We the people will pay for this mistake, and there's no doubt about that!

Eliminating checks and balances is a road Mother Nature doesn't allow, and I offer a simple example of poison ivy, which always has the jewelweed growing nearby as an antidote to ivy poisoning... for our protection. Take away the protection and we suffer, and so it shall be.

That's because they're Obama hating neocons such as yourself. Birds of a feather. Have you ever come to my defense for the way he speaks to me, every single time he addresses me, hmm. Never mind, I don't need the help.

And there was no blanket smear. It was a pinpoint criticism of one Canadian. Better check your reading. The Guess Who, BTO, Loverboy, Brian Adams, good things to come out of Canada.

    Now be honest Kobie.

It's a significant event when a Sec. State isn't playing by the rules, and hasn't executed the proper documentation, and / or has done things that have run afoul of those every agreements that state can't seem to produce in a timely manner.

Not nearly getting as much air time or column inches as a bunch of other, far less significant stuff. Yeah, seems the Biased Lame Stream Media and their editorial decisions are striking again. Might very well be why so many of the electorate are so clueless about how badly the nation is being led.

Mornin Lady P. Yes this should.....but I would take notice how the Media hasn't made it to much of an attention. Especially, when talking about records, emails and transparency.

The rule change means that there will no longer be a formal process for the public to request that the White House voluntarily disclose records as part of what's known as a "discretionary disclosure." Records released by the Office of Administration voluntarily include White House visitor logs and the recipe for beer brewed at the White House......snip~
